I have been a fan of Pizza Port beers for several years. Happy that I was able to get to the original location and try them fresh. The pizza was delicious and the beers did not disappoint. I got a couple flights and tried the pizza of the day. I recommend you try them too.

Food is pretty good and atmosphere is fun, there seemed to be a lot of stuff blocking walkways and tables though. Once the pizza cooled down it wasn’t good anymore. It was great when it was really hot. Slices were bigger than expected. Salad needs more dressing than one little dressing and it was hard to mix the dressing in because the mushrooms and lettuce were cut into fairly large pieces. Also could have washed the lettuce better, was a bit gritty like it had dirt in it.

The cheeseburger pizza is amazing. I think I love this place. It is very reasonably priced and almost sits on the beach. If you visit San Diego it is a must visit. Fantastic beer selection!

Pizza Port is a venerable institution, known for the classic combo of good beer + pizza. However, I find myself unable to recommend this establishment for the simple fact, that's its disgustingly filthy. When we visited, at 2 PM on a Sunday, no one was clearing or wiping the tables. All tables were overflowing with dirty dishes, and were filthy. My family with young children were forced to find the least dirty table and clear cups and wipe it down with napkins ourselves. I saw other families doing the same. This combined with the rather salty service (feature, not a bug?), is why despite the venerable tradition, I'd say to pass on this place.

Atmosphere is busy football game season so lots of men yelling and drinking beer 😛
It has long tables so it feels you are having a family dinner w strangers I liked that . Prolly will come back at some point I got me a lunch special (special slide salad and drink ) for $7.99 ain’t that great 👍

Great place for a group outing. The food takes a while to come out, so the key is to order appetizers so that you have a steady stream of stuff coming your way. They have a great variety of beer and pizza selections.
Avoid coming here if you have sensitive hearing or are easily overstimulated. They announce your name over the loudspeaker, and it's set very loud during busy times.
Seemed very kid-friendly with lots of arcade games throughout the restaurant!

Ordered pizza online and there was a delay putting the order in so we had to wait a while for pickup. They offered free beer and ultimately gave me a gift card to make up for it. I really appreciate them making up for it like that. Whole family visiting for our newborn was at home waiting for this pizza and were not disappointed. Pizza is delicious. They have great beer too.
