Butcher's Block

Stumbled access this place while working near by. It was great. I chose the Chef Salad because I wanted a light meal . I was shocked at the size of it. Ham and Turkey were plentiful and the amount of thick bacon crumbles made it a hit. The ranch dressing is one of my new favorites. I couldn’t eat it all and trust me I am no rookie when it come to conquering large portions. My co worker got the sirloin steak and loved his as well.

Ambiance was good, service good, wait minimal. Salad and homemade dressings great. We got 6 Oz sirloin husband ordered rare, it was medium and tough. I ordered med rare, it was well done, no pink and tough. Baked potato was slightly burnt. Asparagus was cooked perfectly and tasty. The roasted potatoes with green chilies were delicious. Overall, not impressed, maybe 3.75

Most of the dishes that I have had here (most of the menu) have been good (I don't care for the Asian dishes personally). The food, for a town the size of Snyder, is above average. The staff has always been super friendly, and I have always had a good experience in my trips to this restaurant. The one item on the menu that I would absolutely recommend is the Quail and Jalapeño appetizer.

This was the second visit for us, it was quite different this trip. Had a waiter, who was evidently new and needed more training. We tried to overlook that, but after we received our steaks and told him they were OVER cooked to say the least. He left and never returned to our table. We waited for our ticket, but finally had to go to the front entrance to ask for a ticket, after being ask if we enjoyed the meal I explained our steaks were over cooked and not happy with the service, she simply smiled and took our money!!??

Cleanliness 5 🌟 Service 4 🌟 Steak bites 3 🌟 (very dry)(burnt taste) Macaroni & cheese 5 🌟 Pecan cobbler 1 🌟 (burned) Apple cobbler 5 🌟 23 out of 30 Today visit 3.9 🌟 It's been a while lets see how this goes. I have been here a few times and have complaints every time. Today was a good visit with no complaints. From the hostess to the dessert was all good thank you Butchers Block staff for the good supper.
