Always our choice for Hibachi. Very entertaining. This particular visit, we didn’t feel as welcomed. Cook was not as engaging and focused more on other guest than us. The food is consistently good. The Shrimp and Scallops never disappoints.

So we’ve been going to Fuji Yama for couple of years now and it’s the only Japanese hibachi restaurant we’ll ever patronize in Slidell area. When we dine in, it’s always the hibachi option but last nite, we end up doing a takeout and tried quite a few sushi options ($40) and their hibachi dinner combos, chicken and shrimp ($21) and Chicken and scallops ($22) and the seafood combo ($37) for 5 people and it was good. The food came with soup and salad. The staff is polite, courteous and prompt. Their are quite a few pretender Japanese restaurants in the area but I won’t recommend ‘em.

We have ordered dinner through delivery apps a few times now. The food arrives flawlessly packed. Our dinner is always perfectly cooked and delicious. We requested changes to the dishes that we not readily available as options on the menu, but they made sure our wishes were fulfilled. EXCELLENT EMPLOYEES, EXCELLENT SERVICE, EXCELLENT FOOD... ALL AROUND OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE!!! I will leave a 5 star review on Door Dash (as i have on Waitr) as soon as I am asked to rate them! Thank you for a great family dinner!

I’ve had some bad sushi in my life but this may be the worst I’ve ever had. Think gas station sushi that’s expired. To start with, the rolls were small and tasted old (sensing a theme). But I saw them make them so I know they were fresh.....ish. The rice was hard and not soft. On one roll, the tempura shrimp was burned! Like how do you even do that? Look, my experience was horrible taste wise but to be fair, the place full and nice on the inside. Maybe it’s just me but my first experience was terrible and I won’t go back.

The food is very good, not great but very good. Let these be three high stars. The entertainers try to make it the best that they can, but they are not as experienced, or as trained as one would hope. For the price you really expect it all to better. I'm not saying a whole lot better because we did enjoy everything, especially their fried rice. It seemed everything, beef, chicken, and vegetables were of better than fair quality, though the shrimp may not be Louisiana Shrimp. Though the prices might be a little high for what you get, you can't get the same any better anywhere in St. Tammany.

I don't hate the place love the food we went there this past Friday evening and there was no social distancing place was packed like sardines is a were so upset it ruined our meal I hope after this post someone inspects this place on a Friday and sat night praying we don't get sick. However food is absolutly delicious. Kindly keep me up to date I will not go back until Covid19 restrictions are implemented thank you
