Bonefish Grill - Skokie

Not sure I can say enough about this place. The staff was extremely helpful. My wife has to avoid dairy and soy products. Our server even knew what dishes had those ingredients and helped to narrow down the selection. It also helped that sauces come on the side, so my wife could choose what to use, or for shared dishes some people could partake in saucing, some not. It's great that they're very accommodating to allergies. Now you do have to expect elevated prices, as it is an upscale place, but the service and food are good enough to warrant almost all of it. My only gripe would be the $5 extra for side upgrades with a meal. While the mac and cheese was very good, as was the asparagus, there wasn't enough in my mind to warrant an extra $5 per item. Not really worth it in my mind, but may be to some. I'd stick to the standard sides. Finally, the drinks were very good and mixed well. You could taste the alcohol so you know you're not getting hosed, and they were mixed well so they tasted great.

Very good seafood dishes!!! Location in Niles has outdoor dining made possible by converting part of it's sidewalk, entrance and storefront parking into a no frills, tent covered dining experience. No decor to soften the lines between pavement and table but the dishes are very good. Tables are comfortably distanced. Staff is very accommodating while manager checks in on customers!!!

TI was great! Room was great no problems. Atmosphere in casino was good. Gilleys was good. Machines were hitting! Drinks were good! A little slow at check in but that is with all hotels right now. Sports book looked really nice but I don’t bet games. It was full every time I walked by. Lots of machines to play. I didn’t play the tables this trip. This was my 25th visit to Northbrook so I have stayed at a lot of places and TI was right there with others. I would definitely go back there!

Nice decor, disappointing meal. Seafood was okay but bland almost as if any condiment or side dish was preprocessed. The exception was the spinach which although under seasoned, was clearly freshly made. Charming waitress who must have had direction to all but read the menu. We came to eat not get a lecture. This was especially irritating at the end of the meal with the big sell on a credit card & point program. When said I was not interested, I reallymeant it. Abundant parking. Not overpriced.

The food is always tip top and the service was excellent. As for the dining experience, there is a nice, large tent to opt to dine in. Even though it was a windy day, the tent blocked just about all of it. There also was seating outside along the building which also had plenty of space between tables. More more people were sitting at those tables. I had the day's special. maple salmon with broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. Desert was the perfect size for two...hot brownie and ice cream. I recommend Bonefish for solving any of your fish food cravings.
