Came here for dinner with my friend.
Prawn Omelette was not bad. The sides were crispy but could use more saltiness.
Kailan was good. Taste just nice, not too salty and crunchy.
Basil chicken rice. Basil chicken seemed to lack the fish sauce taste which I love. Taste kind of different from what you usually get so I didn't really like it. Rice also was on the hard side.
Sweet and sour chicken rice. Not bad, taste similar to what you get at a Zi Char stall. But again, rice was hard.
Glass noodle soup. Kind of disappointed with the soup. My friend can't take spicy so we got the vegetarian glass noodle soup. The menu said glass noodle soup but the Chinese translation stated seaweed as well. However when they served us, it looked like Tom yum soup with vegetables but without any glass noodle or seaweed. We informed the waiter and they told us that it's the same soup base and that they'll just add the glass noodles into it. So after around 5 minutes our soup came and my friend said that the soup seemed to have more chili in them. I took out all the chili and place them into my bowl since I could take spicy. In the end she couldn't drink it as the soup was too spicy for her. I'm not sure if it's really the correct soup as all their soup had this chili picture next to it to indicate that's it's spicy and this was the only soup that did not have the chili picture. Also the waitress did key in to the system saying we wanted less spicy for the soup but yet this was how it turn out.
Overall I felt the food here has some hits and a lot of misses. Won't be back due to my friend's extremely disappointing experience..

Overall the food is pretty good and pretty spicy. Loved the mixed vege, hubby likes the hotplate black pepper beef. My fav is the chicken tom yum clear soup. 👍😋

It's halal. Very delicious food. Will come back. The dishes must eat with rice. Or else taste too strong. Thai style kangkong very nice. Usually I don't beat kangkong.

Central Thai Kitchen is located at B2 of City Square Mall, very easy to spot.
Been an advocate of Thai cuisine & my mother wanted to try it, so my sister & I went to Central Thai Kitchen for dinner.
Realized that there is no long queue thus; I decided to try it out with my family. I like the menu as it's easy to refer to and you will know what to order right away. Ordered 3 different dishes to give a proper verdict. The food is served shortly and it looks so appetizing.
Pineapple Rice ($7.50)
This dish was pretty decent as the rice was well cooked & not sticking to each other, likely because they went with the rule & did use overnight cooked rice, which is important in cooking fried rice. The taste overall wasn’t overwhelming & suitable for elderly to enjoy.
Hot Basil Chicken Rice ($8.90)
I always order pakapaomoo whenever I go to Thai restaurants, so this is my dish to go. Normally, it is served with pork meat but this restaurant is Halal and I was curious on how it would turn out. No doubt pork is still my favourite choice, but chicken-based basil rice is still delicious. And of course, I finished every piece of edible stuff on the plate.
Tom Yum Seafood ($8.90)
My sister loves Tom Yum & to her, this soup was good, especially on a rainy weather. I gave it a try 7 yes, it is sour but not too overwhelming. There was enough lemon grass used, but I would recommend more lemon grass for my taste buds for it to be even more appealing.
Thai Milk Tea ($4.40)
I don’t always drink Milk Tea but when I do, I drink Thai Milk Tea. It is refreshing & not too sweet, however it does not give me a wow factor for the premium price. But it is always a good drink to have regardless.
Cost: $34.75

The place does have a decent ambience but its tucked away in the corner of the second basement of the mall. The restaurant on the whole is decent. Wouldn't really recommend this place for AMAZING thai food, but the place is able to give some really decent vegetarian options. The flavours in the food are pretty decent and the service is at par. The staff are aware of the menu well. All in all the place is just a decent average priced thai restaurant. Nothing too great or fancy.

Decided to eat some Thai dishes because I have been missing Bangkok / Thailand. Was with two good friends. We walked past Central Thai Kitchen (City Square Mall) and I thought the ambience was like the Thai restaurant in the Bangkok neighbourhood I lived in before the borders were closed.
I loved the dishes and the drinks. The price was also very reasonable. The Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Thai and seafood omelette were dishes I liked most. Too bad they did not have mango sticky rice this afternoon.
Guess Central Thai Kitchen (City Square Mall) will be the place I will frequent often to eat Pad Thai and omelette.
Kudos to the friendly staff in this restaurant.

Halal Thai Restaurant, Lunch Set is quite affordable. Not too (chill) hot, quite balance. Would have requested to be more spicy. Didn't need to wait for too long for the food. Comfortable environment for lunch with friends.

Popular Thai dishes at affordable prices and good service. Food quality is acceptable, just don't expect restaurant standard. Kids meal comes with a nice drinks floaty.
