Trattoria Gallo D'oro

dined here 3 times in october 2020 and it is by far the best restaurant experience in Aspra. 1. food: the swordfish and other fish such as cuttle fish and shell fish is tender and tasty. the bread: 6-days a week they get fresh bread from a nearby bakery that is yellow in color, unlike anywhere else in-town, with great texture and very tasty; (however on wednesday, they get white bread from another bakery which is awful - so it is best to stick with breadsticks if they are out of the yellow bread) 2. location: right on the sea: it is the only restaurant in Aspra that is actually on the water, and it even has the option of outdoor seating, semi-outdoor seating, and nice indoor seating all with full panoramic views 3. service: it is one of the few restaurants in small towns of sicily that if friendly and welcoming to newcomers and outsiders. all staff seem genuinely happy, caring and wanting to make you feel special and welcomed. 4. price: is exactly inline with what you would pay any other restaurant in Aspra despite excelling in all areas. 5. ambiance: classy, casual, with colors that accent the sea.
