Shirokane Tori-tama

Dined here as the restaurant offers a wide selection of yakitori, including cockscomb. Unfortunately chicken embryos appear to be no longer available on the menu. The food here, while decent, was nowhere as good as Shirokane Toritama’s outlets in Tokyo. As other reviewers have warned, the yakitori takes a long time to be prepared and some items were out of stock when I was there for a late dinner.

Authentic Japanese Yakitori restaurant and you can see how they grill skewers in front of you if you take counter seats. Better to make a reservation a few weeks before as it can be very busy even on weekday. Minus one star is for 1. It is pricey for what it is and there are similar quality of yakitori place with more reasonable price. 2. Service was a bit slow(e.g. first yakitori arrived 30-40mins after ordering).

This place serves wonderful yakitori which carries the smoky bbq taste. They also offered 2 types of beer which tasted great. The setting is rather noisy but that is understandable due to the concept of the restaurant. Slightly long wait for the food to be cooked and served. Just taking the time to catch up with friends. The staff were attentive and responsive to customers’ requests. I would definitely recommend coming back to this place for their high quality of food.

My first visit but disappointed by the service displayed by the restaurant manager Ken.Double standard of service delivered. He served a glass of water to his regular followed by his alcoholic beverage and continue to chat with him while I had to wait 10-15 mins later for my drink to be served (I ordered green tea from Ken but nothing was served). It was then I ordered again from another service crew and my request was attended. Nevertheless, my experience was compensated by the nice food, great service and recommendation by Thomas.

Love the food and sake selection they have, enjoyed myself very much I was there. I will visit again for sure but one thing you guys need to take note of is that, so make reservation booking, the food is cooked to order. You will need to wait for a little if they are getting busy, trust me I rather wait than get a microwave or pre-cooked food.. overall good drinks there are a little pricy but of course, you paid for what you get. Do expect a little slow from the service, as we all know fnb is short-handed. Please give them some love and patience, definitely a place worth a visit.
