The Hat

Food as always was great. We are in town and hubby was craving the hat. We haven’t been to one since we left Cali 8 years ago. Googled the nearest one and have to say when we got there right away my hubby was judged by his appearance. I would give the service a zero starts but it’s the food that we were there for. We did dine in and they were playing great music as well. Establishment was very clean and there’s a drive thru.

Suprised to see The Hat in Simi Valley. Looking for a place for lunch, nothing sounded good until we saw The Hat! Located on a busy blvd in Simi Valley, parking was very easy, only a handful of vehicles. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Short line to order and received our food quickly. The Hat is very consistent with its food. It's always the same quality and portion size at all its locations. Pastrami Dip sandwichs are good size as well as their order of fries. Was only able to eat half and save the other half for another meal. Service was quick and friendly. One of my favorite Pastrami restaurants.

The pastrami is good. It's $12 but it's decent😏 The Pastrami, Chili Cheese Fries, that's another story. I DO NOT recommend them at ALL!!! Why you ask? Well, they plain and simple F U in A HOLE everytime you get them!!! They charge you like &15 for them and give you LITTLE amounts of Pastrami and Chili each time at EVERY of THEIR locations!!! Not COOL!

I always enjoy going to the hat it’s a special treat for me. This time I ordered a double cheeseburger extra onion no lettuce. I’m sad to say that the bun was hard, it looked like the cheese was melted at one point but it was old so it was hard also. There was no extra onion on the burger and was just dried out. So so disappointed.
