Do you ever just stumble upon a restaurant and decide to give it a try? That's what happened to my family and I recently when we headed to Seattle's International District for some dinner. We knew we wanted Asian food but had no idea where to eat. I was searching Yelp as my husband drove but my smart phone, sometimes not so smart, was running slow. My better half wanted Pho and I was craving pot stickers so we just randomly picked a restaurant and parked. Wing Wah Bistro had its own parking lot right in front so I think that's what caught our eye. It didn't look like much from the outside but they advertised as serving Chinese food and Vietnamese, so score for us.
Affordable Cantonese food. My favorite are: fried fish fillet, honey glazed walnut shrimp, salted fish fried rice and garlic pea vine. All delicious.
This is it. This is the place. The crispy noodle place. I've been searching for this exact taste of crispy noodles for 3 years in Seattle and I found it.
Still my favorite. You get both quality and quantity here. The price is always right.
They do the standard dishes really well. Crispy chow mein, honey walnut prawns, beef chow fun, garlic green beans. All great. They serve my favorite salt & pepper pork chop here. Beyond the usual suspects, I've seen other patrons order whole fried fish and I had a killer Szechuan beef noodle soup here that I still think about from time to time.
The only thing that I'm still not super impressed by is their potstickers. So skip those. But I love this place so much that it still gets five stars.
Budget friendly price and great selections of authentic Cantonese dishes. Also has free parking.
