Great food, awesome for movie night!. When my family has a movie night, we almost ALWAYS order Chipotle. It's so easy to order online. Once I type in my sister's, mother's, father's and my order in, I can save it as a favorite. Then, we send the order. And if we have another movie night, I can just select the favorite. The food is always good and we don't need to stand in line.
From whence my love of "mexican". Yes yes, it's a chain of fast food owned by one of the biggest, grossest fast food conglomerates ever (hint: it rhymes with schmcschmonalds.) and yes, I'm fully aware the massive, mission style of burritos isn't really authentic mexican. but before Chipotle was using their parent company's weight to buy farm-raised, antibiotic-free meats, they were a local, no-nonsense burrito shop. A black and white sign on Evans St. in Denver, CO (the original location is still a Chipotle, retrofitted to their current corrugated steel look) notified college students and local families where to get a coma neatly wrapped in a massive tortilla. I still remember the rice being the same balance of not too much cilantro and a great lime bite. I'm actually anticipating the downtown location, when is it opening?
Comfortable, vibrant cafeteria. Chipotle reminds me of my high school cafeteria --you queue up in a long line (if its between 11:30 and 1 PM) and efficiently order up your burrito which is made in front of you. The burritos are excellent, very generous size, fresh ingredients and if you are a UW student you receive a free fountain drink by presenting your student ID. Their chips are mediocre --too salty and not warm so I rarely order those. I also appreciate the dish of fresh lemon wedges for your soda. The restaurant is spacious, well-lit and always clean. Overall, this is one of my favorite places to stop at for lunch on the Ave.
I have heard chipotle many times before coming to the US, finally come and try it!
I love choosing what I like and mix them together!
I had the bowl with brown rice, steak, black bean, lettuce, tomato sauce and hot sauce! I love the flavor of their steak! You can feel the beef are not bad, but fairly fresh! The brown rice and black bean are also nice, the beans are really soft, you can't feel the existence of them if you eat it with rice!
The tomato sauce is a surprise! It is nice even if you do not mix it into the bowl! But I think it is more my type if the sauce is hot, I don't feel comfortable when the hot rice mixed with cold saucesAnd they also provide Tabasco to add!
It would not be a wrong choice if u don't know what to eat! Wanna try other types of protein for the next time!
4 / 5 for taste
4 / 5 for service
I always like going to the Chipotle Mexican grill on University way. They are very very nice to me because I am a total beginner at using their app and using some kind of gift card I got for donating blood. Very very knowledgeable efficient.
Food was good, although I am celiac and cross contamination definitely happened. Restrooms were closed, which was frustrating. Tea was sub-par compared to other locations -basically colored water. Staff were nice but clearly stressed - UW move in weekend, so to be fair, it was wild but the restaurant was not busy while we were there.
We were able to walk to the restaurant from our hotel. It was clean inside. The service was great!
We decided to eat outside, which resulted in fewer stars for their atmosphere. It wasn't super clean outside. Their garbage was overflowing, and we were being hassled by someone who was clearly NOT sober. This was not the fault of the restaurant but maybe just dine inside instead.
Below average standards for a chipotle. Food quality seemed low and restaurant wasn't clean

They were only doing online orders, I was told by a staff member that it would be 15 minutes wait max for my online order to be ready, but I was waiting there for about 30-45 minutes before my order was out and ready

Couldn't find my pick up order. Made me feel like I made a mistake even though she was the one that didn't see my name.
This was my 1st time eating at a Chipotle and I brought my Wife who had been in before. I think going shortly after lunch time was the downfall. Because they were completely out of chicken which both of us wanted and We're politely told we would need to wait about 10 additional minutes. But being on a time schedule that was not an option. The meat that we ended up going with was really nice. They were also out of one of the bean options which would also have been our choice. All the vegetables were pleasant in appearance and in taste. Overall the food taste very good. It was just a disappointment that they were running out of their selection. To be able to sit at a table we also had to clean that ourselves. The person sitting next to us commented that they had to clean their own table also. I would definitely go again I just would not go at or around a busy time of day.
