One of my favorite spots in North Seattle to get tea and a quick snack. Often hard to get a seat (especially during midterms/finals as many students will take up booths for hours-long cram sessions) but so worth it!
BUBBLE TEA! <3 <3 <3 Rain Cafe's matcha milk tea is so good! It is made fresh, and customers have the choice of how much sugar is added (I get 50% and it is plenty sweet for me!) I haven't hung out at Rain Cafe, I only drop by for the bubble tea, but the vibe is 'urban cool' and they have a huge selection of yummy foods that I will definitely have to try sometime. Bonus: Rain Cafe is wedged between the impressive Asian Food Market on one side and Hobby Lobby (papercrafting supply heaven) on the other side.
Great place to dinner
Food was great! Taro milktea with boba my favorite
Baristas are nice, mostly girls
I like the one who always smile so pretty, being nice n cute. She has the best customer service n hope the other did the same like her it's not that hard to smile tho
I once ordered milktea with coffee jelly but the coffee jelly taste kinda sour n slimy in my mouth ? Need to check it before giving it to customer 🙄
Rain cafe. This place deserves six stars… It’s a prefect place to hang with friends, yap for hours without feeling disturbing anyone; or you can bring your laptop, wear your headphone and enjoy YOU time for hours without feeling disturbing anyone! Better yet, you could get tasty drinks and meal here. Better than better yet, the food and drinks are so affordable with great portion size!!
Staff are always friendly and helpful. Rain Cafe has a good selection of Asian fusion food and interesting beverages. My drinks always have good consistence and yummy. SO is very picky on coffee but love it here. Popcorn chicken is our long term favorite as we also enjoy almost every single things we have ordered before.
My friend brought me here for a quick dinner, and I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere it reminded me of a coffee shop, everyone talking and doing their own thing.
I got the Rainbow Sushi Burrito, and it was very delicious and came out within 5 minutes of my ordering. Though I will say that it was a bit difficult to bite into with the wrapping.
My sister and I LOVE this place. We grew up eating Japanese curry and their katsu curry is probably the best in north Seattle. They have awesome drinks as well. But, I think the best thing is that the price is fair for what you get, which is rare these days. Do yourself a favor, head to the asian market then hit up Rain Cafe for lunch. It’s one of our favorite things to do during a rainy Seattle afternoon.
This is a hidden gem! Well, it was hidden to me, at least 🙈. It's a storefront outside the Asian Family Market, with access also inside the market entrance corridor, near 125th and Aurora Ave N.
I got the Brazilian latte which was similar to a vietnamese coffee bit different enough to say I've found a new "treat yourself" coffee. I also splurged and got fried tofu (solid but not flavored I'm used to) and the lemon chicken wings. The wings I could eat often...🤤.
I look forward to bringing my kids and wife back to experience the quality and vibe of this Asian- meets- American cafe. I say it that way because so many items on the food menu are fried... very American. 🤣🤣🤣
Always the best time here! The shrimp tempura burrito is a perfect combo of seafood and spicy. And the Tiger milk tea is delicious. Have been coming here since 2017 and it always hits the spot 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Interior was super cozy and filled with lots of space to do work in!
I really enjoyed the music and the Lemon & Pepper Popcorn Chicken there. Highly recommend their Peach Italian Soda! Would definitely visit again to hang out with friends to play their board games and to study.
Our new favorite place! Love the atmosphere and the food, as well as the wonderful drinks! My fav is the rose tea! The spam fries are really good as well. I always get excited when my husband wants to come here :)
My new favorite coffee shop in North Seattle. It's open later than other coffee shops, is roomy with plenty of comfortable seating, serves decent Asian fusion food, and is reasonably priced. Hidden gem. Looks like a dump from the outside though.
I like this place for coming to do work or have meetings sometimes. It’s a great place for the local highschool kids to go and they add a great energy to the place, even if they are a bit loud :-D. They could add noise proofing materials to the ceiling and walls to make it quieter. The Chicken Katsu is excellent here. The teas are good, but definitely a little pricey... But I’m glad it’s here for the unique menu and ambience.
