The best taco I’ve had in my entire life. I will be dreaming of it for a while! Everything was delicious including the cocktails. Only critique was it was a bit cold in the restaurant. I think because it’s a heritage building with thin windows, so dress warmly and you’ll have a delightful time. Or, just drink more margaritas to stay warm. Either works!
I was delighted by my meal. The tomato salad was a Mexican reinvention on a caprese that was so incredible, I love to be blown away by a salad. The tostada was the best I’ve ever had and the blue corn tortillas that came with the pork chop were very fresh. There is creativity in the menu and it is clear that someone in the kitchen cares deeply about food and is cooking with love. That makes all the difference. We had amazing service. The noise level was intense when the restaurant was full. We had to shout at each other to have a conversation. I look forward to trying new dishes.
If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. We practically licked the plates clean. The Caesar salad was outstanding, with a spicy flare to it that made it probably one of the best Caesar salads I’ve ever had. We also had the Chile poblano, the mole chicken and the tuna tostada. Everything was delicious. This is a restaurant that I’d expect as a top rated spot in LA, SF or NY. Exciting to have it in Seattle.
Great mexican food! I would certainly recommend getting the coho salmon. The tortillas are really good here. It seems that the menu varies quite a bit, so be prepared to get surprised regarding the options :). Service was very friendly. Lights were a bit dim for my taste when it got dark outside. It's mostly gluten free :)
I've definitely had better mole elsewhere. Also the entree of just chicken and mole could have really benefited with some sort of vegetable on the side, for that price.
Just incredible. I've been on multiple dining trips in Mexico City and this stands up to the best places. Add it to your list of places to go.
This review is specifically for the Pancita residency at Pair (most of the reviews are for Pair's regular menu). The food is so comforting and phenomenal. Chef Janet is really creating an amazing culinary moment here in Seattle. The tostadas were tasty and well seasoned. You can taste how the different sauces and salsas are paired intentionally with the proteins. Tried most of the menu and it was all delicious. I wish I could buy the horchata by the jug. Please keep it up and i'm exciting to come back a few more times before the residency ends in August.
Food was incrediable, we absolutely loved every dish we got. Tasted authentic and thought the portions were a good size! We also enjoyed how cozy the restaurant was, it was perfect for a date night!
Pancita is in every way perfection. Our waiter was so amazing. They have Mexican wines and digestifs. I got the Mole with the rice and beans and it was probably one of the best thing I have eaten. I would highly suggest coming here!!
Very happy that I tried this place with my husband and would definitely come back. It's a small but cute restaurant with a very relaxing vibe. Friendly service and plates came out at a good pace. We ordered the crab popovers (recommend), roasted cauliflower, olives, tater tots (recommend) and pan fried gnochi (recommend). All the dishes were well done! They don't take reservations so plan accordingly as it gets very busy.
