I don't write many reviews but I was so impressed that I have to share. This is a hidden gem! This is the best bakery/ coffee shop in Seattle! The flavors and smell are to die for. After driving past this bakery many times I finally decided to stop in. At first I was over whelmed at the selection! I wanted to buy everything and try everything.
I bought the ham and cheese croissant and my wife had another pastry.
I was in food heaven.
The cakes look delicious and we will order one for our sons first birthday in November.
I am excited to visit the bakery again and bring some friends to share the experience.

The Onion Cheese Puff had such great texture, very satisfying to eat! It was priced pretty decently. I didn’t get the chance to take a picture though….
We haven’t gotten to the Cinnamon Roll yet, but it looks very promising!! It seems a little over priced, but we’ll see if it redeems itself in taste later.
Overall, a very positive experience!
Everything here is perfection! All the classics - croissants, bread, quiche, cookies, etc. - are on point, and their in-house specialities and seasonal sweets are amazing as well. I literally had the best raspberry thumbprint cookies of my life, which prompted me to write this review (they were THAT good). Their coffee is good as well. The service has always been super friendly.

Amazing bakery. We got almond kringle, pistachio white chocolate mocha, croissant and a poor boy. The kringle and croissant were delightful. The mocha has crushed pistachios in it which I have never seen before. It was tasty.
Love me some Scandinavian treats and Byen Bakeri delivers just that. Ever since I moved from Sweden many moons ago, I miss the flavors of home and when I do, I come here to get my fill.
We love the traditional treats of Semlor, Prinsess tårta and many more. Their bread selection is out of this world and it's so nice to come "home" for a short bit.
If you have ties to Scandinavia or just want a sample of it's baked goods this is the place for you!

Delightful Swiss Bakery with everything from Morning Glory Muffins to Princess Cake. Not in the mood for something sweet then check out the Swiss Rye and Poor Boy Breads. I was really impressed at the options and quality of presentation in this bakery. I tried the Iced Honey Lavender Latte and Morning Glory Muffin. I thoroughly enjoyed both. I will return to try their Monte Cristo. The Staff was also kind and helpful answering our questions and serving other guests efficiently.
Byen Bakeri self describes as a modern Nordic cafe and that totally fitsm
The pistachio eclair was so chewy and flavorful. Breakfast sandwiches are very fresh and satisfying. My favorite is the salmon smorrebrod with fresh arugula and smoked salmon over dill cream cheese on rye
Got a cake for my son's birthday from Byen Bakery. Customer service was great. Got the cake in time for our little celebration and it was delicious! I also got a few treats for later, I would definitely recommend this bakery and visit again.
Nice to find some baked goods that reminds me of Sweden. They had Semla (even though it was not the season for it). The semla was a smaller size, so not quite the massive buns I am used to from Sweden. It was also slightly dry. The princess cake and chocolate cake were really great though.
Update - recently tried the lemon lavender cake. The sponge is fantastic! The cake is a little sweet for my palate but overall a great combination!
I'm glad to have found this bakery. It's probably one of the only bakeries serving the princess torte cake in its original form. You can buy a slice or a full one. It's simply delicious!! Their coconut based cake is ok ish. Can have a stronger coconut flavor. They also have a good selection in traditional breads and cookies.
