I cannot convey to you how much I love these gluten free biscuits. For me they are a southern boyz wet dream of a big fluffy drop biscuit (style). BIG, moist, airy, slightly crunchy chewy top that absorbed all the butter. Don't waste any other toppings on your first try ... split it and go all original ... the way they're meant to be eaten with just a big slab of butter. Then go back and order one every other way. Crab melt? God damn, yassssssszzzzzzzzzzzzz. 15 stars! Good day!
I prefer Honest Biscuits more than Biscuit B*tch for many reasons. Honest Biscuits feels like a best kept secret, so I never wait more than 5 minutes. Biscuit B*tch had me waiting over 45 minutes! Honest Biscuit is open longer than Biscuit B*tch. Also, Honest Biscuit delivers through Postmates. The menu at Honest Biscuits has a LOT more variety. Both places have vegan & gluten-free options, including vegan gravy. With Biscuit B*tch, I don't really like eating somewhere with a name I have to censor. The only superior thing about Biscuit B*tch is their mushroom gravy tastes slightly better than Honest Biscuits lentil gravy, although both are hearty and delicious.
For me, Honest Biscuits was an unexpected gem. Hidden in the lower level of Pike's Place Market, and really not much more than a corner presence, it didn't look like a lot from the perspective of a gluten free diet. And yet, it was a lovely find.
They are located on the side of the bay so I was able to step out of their shop and easily find seating where I was able to watch the ships and birds move around while I ate. Couldn't have asked for a better backdrop.
My partner got the crab sandwich and I got the gluten free sausage egg and cheese with cheesy grits. There was Mayo on the breakfast sandwich but it's listed so my bad. My biscuit was cooked beautifully but it was cold in the center. Mexican mocha was oddly spicy. From SD so I should know anything Mexican will not meet expectation. Partner said chai was just ok. Neither of us finished the drink. My partner tried the first sandwich I got with mayo and said it was delicious and the crab would have been better with mayo. Also got the dog biscuits. If my pup doesn't like I'll update.
Overall I'd be back and will ask for butter on my gf sandwich.
As a Georgia native, I've had my fair share of grits, but Honest Biscuits takes them to a whole new level. They were creamy, perfectly seasoned, and had incredible flavor. The cheese was melted to perfection, creating a delightful feeling of home.
A brilliant biscuit for breakfast (or any time of day). I stopped by after receiving a recommendation from a listicle and i wasn’t disappointed. The biscuits are being made and baked freshly right in front of you. There is a great place to grab a coffee while you wait. The biscuit was fluffy on the inside, crisp on the outside, and most importantly wasn’t dry and stodgy as so many are. Will definitely be back.
I'm not sure the last time I had a gluten free biscuit sandwich, so this was an extra special treat. It was so good. They also offer a gluten free biscuits and gravy which I really should go back again and try, or maybe just grab a few biscuits to go. They were that good!
My husband and I loved it! We both grew up in North Carolina and we know good biscuits. I have to eat Gluten Free and it can be hard to find a good GF biscuit. This was IT! Light and fluffy and the perfect size. Staff were kind and easygoing and helpful. It looks like most of the negative reviews are from a year (or more) ago. Please give this place a try! In winter, the indoor atmosphere isn’t the most amazing. But it is fun to look out over the water and see the big wheel. In summer, I bet the outdoor seating is great! Thanks to the staff for great food and a great experience.
I am from the south and I have eaten some of the best biscuits on the planet made by family members. With that said these biscuits are AMAZING. When the order came out I thought the biscuits looked crispy, dry and over cooked. They were NOT. I typically do not eat every bite of my food but as you can see, I did. I had the biscuits and gravy. I am used to a heavy flour taste in my gravy (admittedly I make mine that way). This gravy was light and flavorful. My husband had the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. He also devoured his entire biscuit which he does not typically do either. Highly recommend trying this place. So yummy!
Rad little spot tucked in beside a brewery. Not the “warmest” of environments, but it is inside which is nice on these rainy early winter days. My wife had the gluten free biscuit and had to ask if it was indeed gluten free, she said it was the best she’s had. I had the regular, also delicious. Courteous staff, great biscuits. Huzzah!
The Honest Biscuit is a bit interesting to find. But once you find it the staff is friendly enough. The food is yummy, but the price is kind of crazy. For a biscuit and gravy with bacon, a bacon egg and cheese and a coffee was $34. This price didn't include the tip they request automatically for not delivering the food to your table. They call your name and you go get it, like a fast food place. Which is fine... but I'm over being asked for a tip just for taking my order and yelling my name for pick up. The atmosphere is rather unique. It's next to a bar that has really amazing tables and a cool vibe. It's worth a try if you don't mind paying expensive prices.
I found this through my GF app. So glad we tried it. The gf biscuit is amazing. They have everything gf except the gravy. It was excellent. I am tempted to go again tomorrow. Absolutely recommend. The fellow who gave us the order was so kind and helpful, too. Definitely try it out if you’re in the Seattle area.
