For me, Honest Biscuits was an unexpected gem. Hidden in the lower level of Pike's Place Market, and really not much more than a corner presence, it didn't look like a lot from the perspective of a gluten free diet. And yet, it was a lovely find. They are located on the side of the bay so I was able to step out of their shop and easily find seating where I was able to watch the ships and birds move around while I ate. Couldn't have asked for a better backdrop.
My partner got the crab sandwich and I got the gluten free sausage egg and cheese with cheesy grits. There was Mayo on the breakfast sandwich but it's listed so my bad. My biscuit was cooked beautifully but it was cold in the center. Mexican mocha was oddly spicy. From SD so I should know anything Mexican will not meet expectation. Partner said chai was just ok. Neither of us finished the drink. My partner tried the first sandwich I got with mayo and said it was delicious and the crab would have been better with mayo. Also got the dog biscuits. If my pup doesn't like I'll update. Overall I'd be back and will ask for butter on my gf sandwich.
As a Georgia native, I've had my fair share of grits, but Honest Biscuits takes them to a whole new level. They were creamy, perfectly seasoned, and had incredible flavor. The cheese was melted to perfection, creating a delightful feeling of home.
