Best place on the boardwalk for pizza and beer! Amazing service, affordable prices, great alcohol selection even for the pickiest of drinkers. Never dirty or loud. Always welcoming.
We were in the upstairs room for a private party and all the food that was served was delicious. There was even pizza included in the buffet choices. I didn't have pizza but the people that did said it was delicious also. Would definitely eat there again.
Food and service are always fantastic. We're usually at the bar and see how busy it can get. Full respect to the bartenders.... Courtney, Jennifer, Anthony, Rich, Avery....I don't know how you do it.
I remember the Sawmill back in the late 80s and early 90s. This isn't it. The place is brighter, cleaner and has family dining. The pizzas are HUGE (37" diameter) and very tasty. If you enjoy cold domestic (corporate breweries) drafts and pizza, there is a great deal waiting for you. $7 for a pint and a slice. The Sunday brunch menu looked decent too. Looking forward to coming back.
Huge portions! Great Staff! Only drawback is the very loud noise level inside. Pictured below is the Cobb Salad, Sawmill Burger, & Clams/Linguini. Not pictured were the Fantastic App's! (Cheeseballs, Pretzel Bites, & Coconut Shrimp)....also not pictured my $10 20oz. Pina Colada. So don't let those $$$ fool you on cost. There's plenty! You can easily dine here for a lot less. I'm just one of those people who likes to try a lot in one trip! So the breakdown for our part of 3....3 app's, 3 entrees, 2 alcoholic beverages and 1 non. Before tip $109 on a peak summer Friday night.Did not have to wait for a table either.Highly recommend, will be back next season.....have to try the pizza; looks amazing! I could probably wear a slice as a top they are that big...might need 2......but they are huge......roughly 7 pepperoni across the crust. Have I mentioned the incredible staff??? Wicked nice, prompt, & attentive!
Great pizza, the biggest slice you'll ever have...lol. Server was very friendly, quick service, brought our drink order out quickly!
I was in Seaside Heights for business and decided to try The Sawmill as it appeared to be a quiet, somewhat fancy sports bar by the pictures shared on Google. Sports bar, yes; quiet, not at all. Fancy? Not really. This is a family restaurant and I learned it's famous for really big slices of pizza. I had a turkey burger and salad and the food was fine but not something I would go out of my way to eat. The restaurant was packed and the staff were working hard, so while I'm sure this is a great place for a snack or quick slice, I don't think it would be a destination for fine dining. There is a large bar and plenty of TVs to watch sporting events and you can access the boardwalk directly from the restaurant.
Cheesesteak had during one visit was very good, but salad had on subsequent visit with chicken, bacon & avocado was outstanding.
Subsequent visit with friends we enjoyed their enormous pizza and good beer selection...
From the front door you would think it was closed. Side entrance was more appealing. Inside was huge , multiple TV screen and large bar. Food was good . Giant 27 inch pie only bought a slice cause was more in the mood for a platter. Slice was not to good , fresh pie might have been a better choice.
Went there yo get a quick lunch and was a little concerned about the price for one slice... but man was I wrong! Well worth the money cause the slices were freaking huge and not only that, they were delicious! Not to mention one slice made me feel full for 7 plus hours. I'm definitely going to go back hands down amazing pizza 10/10! 🍕 2 slices was around 15$
We had 3 kinds of pizza, gyro salad, and cheese fries. All of the food was good. Our slices looked better than some others I saw on here. We also tried two of the $10 drinks. Blueberry lemonade, and prickly pear margarita. The flavor was there but felt very weak like they were watered down.
Great food and prices, service can sometimes be slow even when it's not super crazy but it is worth it and the servers are nice. This is the only place I'll grab pizza on the boardwalk, I've loved it since I was a kid and I take my son now. The garlic knots are sooo good also. As are the sandwiches.
