We sat at the bar because there was a wait and it was a great choice. The bartenders are awesome! They are friendly and very attentive. The food is really good and the drinks are too. They feature a different margarita every month and they are always so good. I think the thing I love the most about this place is that they have homemade tortillas, you can't get them everywhere.

This restaurant has great food, large portions, and a fabulous atmosphere. Also, our waiter was attentive and did a great job with our orders. I thoroughly enjoyed eating here and intend to return sometime!

Restaurant review With the closing of chevy's restaurant over the past year, I had to find a new restaurant to settle my Tex-Mex food cravings and Chuy's did not disappoint. The restaurant is located in the surrounding outlots of Woodfield Mall. There is ample parking and we were seated rather quickly. Our waitress was friendly and quick to take our order. We started with the special nachos which were tostada chips with refried beans, cheese, guac, jalapeno, and pico de gallo. This is not your typical nacho as each chip is laid out and ingredients placed on top (about 7 chips with 2 scoops of guac/lettuce in the middle). Tasty, but I would rather have it the traditional way with more chips and layered like a mountain. The item I ordered is no longer available but it was an enchilada combo with three types of enchilada including a mole, green chili, and cheese served with a healthy supply of refried beans and rice. It appears these options are not available anymore with the menu. Overall there was plenty of food for this combo, but I somehow did not get that wow factor when I was eating and it tasted like any other enchiladas I had in the past. This again is my opinion only. Overall I will come back to try the Fajita next time. Pros: great ambiance, friendly server Cons: not very unique, sort of run of the mill sauces Hidden deals: Mon- Friday 4-7 PM Fully-Loaded Nacho Car - FREE during happy hour Mon - Beer - $1 OFF Tues - House Grande Ritas - $2 OFF Wed - House Texas Martinis - $2 OFF Thurs - House Grande Ritas - $2 OFF Fri - Chuy's Brew - $2 OFF Fri - Floaters - $1

First time trying this restaurant. It felt more of an American twist on mexican food. The chicken flautas were really good and the chicken enchiladas. I personally did not like the Chile relleno because traditionally they are battered with egg and fried. This one felt like it was just battered with flour and fried, the way you would fry chicken. I didn't like the rice. They had home made tortillas. The chips and salsa were good. The chips were thin and broke easy but were delicious. The salsa was spicy. They have really good kid options which was great. I was not planning on eating dessert but our server suggested the tres leches cake. It was a very big piece compared to other restaurants and if you visit Chuy's you definitely need to try!!!!!!. The tres leches was amazing!!! Definitely one of favorites.

Great atmosphere and great drinks. Get in line and sit at the bar while you wait for your table. Also go visit the live process of making tortillas. The selection of sauces and veg options are above expectations. We ordered the guacamole and fajitas bar. The house margarita and the grandpa drink was awesome. I would suggest two things - 1) compared to your sauces, please add some spice to ur guacamole. Doesn’t feel fresh. 2) please add one more option of sauce which is veg and super hot. Took some tortillas to go.

Yet another bustling restaurant, but the food is excellent. The decor is borderline insane, but I found it enjoyable with metal palm trees, a hubcap room, a fish swarm on the ceiling, and old pictures. Tortillas made on site right before your eyes if you want to watch. Lots of sauces to try.
