Metro Diner

The server in me hates showing up to a restaurant 30 mins before closing, but the staff here made us feel so welcome! Everyone had a smile on their faces from the host and server to the line cooks. BEST SERVICE HANDS DOWN we've received while in Florida! The food was amazing too! Highly recommend the fried chicken or the chicken pot pie both were outta this world! HIGHLY RECOMMEND METRO DINER!!!

Where have you been all my life!?!? How is it that this is the first time I try your chicken and waffles? There are dozens of these around the USA and this is the first time I stop at one. When we walked in, we liked the diner vibe right away. We went because the reviews were very good. My wife saw this and said we needed to go there. So we did. We sat down and immediately saw some cards on the table advertising t-shirts for something. Those were stacked words we didn't match at first: Waffles. Chicken. Spicy syrup. Strawberry Butter. Some other text. Boy did we find out what THAT was quick! I love me some chicken and waffles, and I've had those in quite a few places around the USA... but these ones... I still think about them. They're like a love affair that won't leave your head. It's there asking to be had, constantly. I have to go back for more. The place was clean, the people were very nice, and they served fast. The food was amazing. That chicken was seasoned through and through - not just the batter, the whole thing. And then the amount they give you... be prepared to feast!

Me and my husband visit here as much as possible when we can get a chance to escape together early mornings for brunch, aside from the food always being awesome, HEIDI kicks off our day with laughter and amazing service!! She makes us smile and I have had her a few times as my waitress over the past couple of years, and I promise you a perfect meal, attentive service and ear to ear smiles from this beautiful lady. I just had to leave a review. Servers do not get enough gratification. Thank you Heidi for such a wonderful experience everytime at metro diner on Lockwood!

I love searching out little diners.i love a good diner breakfast. Eggs, home fries, toast, bacon and sausage and coffee. The restaurant was pretty busy when we got there around 1030am. There were very few open tables. The place was very clean, staff was very friendly. The food was good. Not great, but very good. Solid B+. Coffee was definitely weak. The toast came with no butter, which was odd. And the toast and eggs were already pretty cold while the sausage was nuclear hot. Over all, good, just not excellent. I would visit again if i were in the area, but i wouldn't go out of my way. A Little pricy, 4 plates came to over $50.

Placed an order for delivery this morning and once arrived, I had just noticed the pumpkin bread pudding was missing and already had a voicemail from Justin, the manager. I called him back and he apologized and immediately brought it to my house personally! I was so impressed by the customer service. This was my first time eating there and I will definitely be going back. The food was awesome, priced fair, and clearly Justin is running the place right and leading by example. Happy Thanksgiving! ☺️
