El Greco Cafe

Over the last couple weeks I've been there three times. Each time, it was a knockout with people commenting on just how good the food was. I met the owner before the renovations were complete while randomly walking past the location. After a couple of conversations, I was impressed with his commitment to quality enough to have his restaurant host my upcoming business dinner. Colleagues were flying in from every part of the country and it was important to me to pick a place that would be both of a very high quality and an experience to remember. I was not disappointed. The appetizers blew everyone away. The people from Texas and Missouri, notoriously difficult to please with steaks, LOVED their steak. Everyone loved their main courses. Our servers were great as well. Everyone came away from that dinner commenting on what a great restaurant it was. My family went there for dinner the very next evening with guests from Turkey. Again, everyone came away impressed and loved the food. Another time, my coworkers and I stopped by for lunch and enjoyed different salad and main dish combinations. the prices are very fair and the commitment to quality is evident as soon as you taste the food. Certainly, any brand new restaurant will have growing pains. I see a small number of reviews that seem overly critical about minor issues that have to be ironed out at the outset of any restaurant. I think it's unfair to try to poison pill a brand new restaurant with those types of reviews when it just opened. Based on my experiences there, I'm extremely impressed with everything and can't wait to be a repeat customer. Recommendations so far: Try the Kofte, Steak, Chicken Piri Piri, any of the salads, and all of the appetizers.

We went to Avli for dinner to try the food and see how the place looks after the remodel and new ownership. We had a group of 6 people. The place looks beautiful and the food was delicious. I had the grilled calamari as my appetizer and the Piri Piri Chicken as my dinner entrée. The Chicken was cooked to perfection and the overall dish was very tasty. Highly recommend to come in and try the food. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Those unpronoucable dishes are quite delicious. Unlike many 4 star restaurants the food was not only exquisite and well presented, but can satisfy a Zorba the Greek hunger. The servers are all very attentive and will wisely guide you through the menu if you are not quite sure what to order off their extensive menu.

Incredibly authentic Greek food. Everything was cooked perfectly. The octopus was amazing and definitely recommend. I got the lamb shank and it was cooked to perfection. You could pick it up from the bone and run your fork down it with the lamb just sliding right off. Another great indication that a place has good service, they box your food for you. Pricey but worth it.

Went for dinner and was able to get right in. I wasn't too happy with our waiter as he was a "scatterbrained" one who couldn't manage too many tables without getting a bit overwhelmed. Our waters were constantly low, and the glass of wine I ordered was forgotten about. If the waiter had returned to check on us, I could have let him know. The management staff on the other hand was super-friendly and outstanding when we talked with them when we were leaving the restaurant. They were very sweet and caring. I purchased the vegetarian moussaka, and it was outstanding! It was full of flavor, and I could hardly finish it (which is rare for me...I finish everything). If you haven't tried El Greco (we had passed it for years), I really recommend you make it a priority.
