We were vacationing for our 25th anniversary in Siesta Key and gave this lovely little place a try. The restaurant was a little hard to find but we are so glad we found it because it was the best meal we’ve had in quite some time. We both had the halibut (different preparations) and it was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked and melted in our mouths. The risotto and asparagus that accompanied it were also perfectly done and delicious. Everything from the calamari app, the bread with a fabulous tomato basil butter concoction and olive oil sides was amazing, and the key lime pie was the perfect level of tartness and creaminess. Lastly, Tom, our server was kind, professional and attentive, and had great recommendations. Do not miss out on this gem of a restaurant! We will be back!

Chef Wes never fails to present the freshest and most flavor packed seafood. We were so happy to find his new location. We had a fabulous meal. Can't wait to go back with friends. See you soon!

This. Place. Is. AMAZING! We can't wait to go back. Service was excellent but the food... the FOOD! We tried the coconut shrimp, softshell crab po boy, Mahi Mahi, Cole slaw, fries and chocolate cake. All 5 🌟! Thank you, OTH, we will be back soon!

Great fresh fish selections with an almost overwhelming amount of options that the fish can be prepared! The appetizers were delicious as well. The desert portions were great, but on the small side.

Wes Duvall, this Gulf Gate fishmonger has a history of working in, owning and operating restaurants in the Sarasota area. Wes is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, but his food skills are beyond going to school, as Wes truly understands food and seafood is lifted to another notch once Wes brings it into this expanded Off the Hook Restaurant and now fish market. Some restaurants just can't do fish and bring out the delicate and special flavors that Wes consistently delivers. With their expanded operation of adding fresh fish, Sarasotans have another location to purchase their fresh local and sometimes not so local fresh seafood. These are not just fish, but rather special and uncommon species that are interesting and sometimes species I've never heard of before. A recent example is "barrel fish" which are large and from the deep Atlantic and usually brought up after spearing. After enjoying a seafood Po Boy fresh oyster sandwich and noticing barrel fish on sign above the cooler, we decided to bring a nice piece home to roast in our green egg for dinner. It was incredible with a brown crust on the outside, moist and flavorful on the inside after spending about eight minutes at 500 degrees. Treat yourselves by going hear for lunch, dinner, take out or better yet a nice piece of fresh fish to prepare in your own kitchen or grill. Off the Hook is not like other fish markets. See and taste for yourselves.

Stopped here on a whim. Pleasant service, almost all the seafood is fried. Not to my desire so I had the Tomato soup and Cashew salad. Wife had same soup and Spring rolls. Everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared and presented. Had couple craft beers, the bill was very reasonable. Overall a very pleasant lunch experience

Call ahead, make a reservation. Or not, there were some empty tables when my friends and I got there at 8 pm on a Tuesday night. Excellent service, delicious warm bread with super good sun-dried tomato butter and a vampire killer garlic olive oil dip.
I got the sea bass, Mediterranean style. Another got the sea bass with another style but the winner was the suggested Amber jack, cashew crusted and soba noodles. Drool! I should have taken photos of my friend's dish!
Best part about this place, there's parking!!!

The food was absolutely delicious. Four of us enjoyed our meals. My husband and I had blackened swordfish with an orange butter sauce, mouthwatering. Our friends had pecan crusted fluke in a curry sauce. The service was great.

We had a great time with friends here. The food was spectacular. Fresh and literally off the hook. The menu is today's catch with your choice of preparation. If you want a truly fun and unique experience this is your place. I look forward to returning and trying the rest of the catch.

Food was amazing & the service was excellent! We came in late from watching the sunset on the beach (don’t normally dine 30 min before closing but we were famished) and the waiter didn’t skip a beat.. the food was hot and fresh and they let my boyfriend and I enjoy his birthday dinner way past closing time which was very appreciated! The art decor in the restaurant was beautiful, overall a great experience!

I'm a local, but brought my mom here, who's visiting from MD, for dinner. Had a fantastic meal tonight - kudos to the chef! Food was literally "off the hook". I had the cashew-crusted red snapper and my mom had seared scallops. I would highly recommend this place for the atmosphere, the service (Judy, you were the bomb!) and the FOOD!!!! Even met the owner, Nick, who was personable and very interested in our opinions about the place. It was a lovely evening to sit outside & just what I needed after a tough week at work! Off the Hook Seafood is well worth it!

My family have tried many restaurants on vacation and this one was a top 5 in the area. We had the pompano piccata which is what the wonderful server suggested. It was delicious and I would order that again. We all shared the Key Lime pie that was outstanding. We were able to make reservations which added to the enjoyable evening. I will definitely visit “off the hook” again. It was a “10”

We brought a day's catch to them, including shark, barracuda, Spanish Mackerel and Red Snapper. We left it up to chef Wes Duval to bring out the best of each, and every dish was fantastic!!!

Cool, modern atmosphere with excellent service. I had red snapper with orange sauce and it was prepared and seasoned perfectly. Possibly the best and most generous martini around and a fantastic lemon cake rounded out a great evening.

The place is clean and comfortable . We got great service from a very sweet girl who really knew her stuff. I love that they make everything there and only use the fresh catch of the day fish . The menu is small and simple so not spending too much time making up your mind. GREAT apps and great sized portions. I highly recommend checking this little gold mine out !

We love this restaurant. Excellent food with great service. Our waiter, Steve, was knowledgeable and extremely personable. He had a vast knowledge of the fish the chef was preparing. He laughed when I asked if I could call him, " Frankie Fish." In our 3 week stay on Siesta Key, we will be returning there at least 2 more times.

Fantastic food! Something we will talk about for a very long time. The service was outstanding! Our server Angie was friendly, knowledgable, and most accommodating. We will definitely return for more good eats! Even the grandson said they were the best chicken fingers he ever ate, but nothing will beat the seafood!

Great little restaurant and the food was outstanding . It has been a year since we have been there so I don't remember what we ordered . My only complaint is you have to make reservations to get in. I plan on going back .
Pat Butler
Atmosphere was nice. Service was good. Food was horrible. My crab cakes were pure mush. My husband’s pasta was soaked in oil.

Red Snapper Blacken with orange butter. Outstanding!
