Cafe Baci

Couldn't get a seat at my go to place for Italian food (Marcello's) in Sarasota so, I pass by this place often on South Tamiami and finally decided to try it. The salad, was a gorgonzola cheese and walnut mix with house dressing and the special was veal Fiorentina, pounded thin with a spinach topping. Overall pretty good, but felt the portions were small.

Delicious, fresh, Italian cuisine and served professionally by Joshua. I had a special; homemade fettuccine with sundried tomato, mushroom and I switched out the shrimp and scallops for the awesome veal. The Alfredo sauce was equally amazing, lite in texture and exquisitely flavorful and creamy. The place is ole school, plenty of staff to serve and take away finished plates timely. The patrons also ole school and ole money, a lot of it 😉, but pleasant enough. I'll return again and again; too delicious and served "hot'. Thank you...

Absolutely delicious Italian food and even better service! The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxing and our waitress Kasey was very attentive and accommodating. We got to meet the owner and I absolutely love how attentive he is to his restaurant as well! We are from Colorado on our first family vacation but we will be back to this restaurant each time we come here! Highly recommend. Thank you 🙏

They make fresh pasta and that’s why the order takes time to come out. I ordered eggplant pasta and as per my thought process they would have come in one plate but instead the eggplant came in one plate and the sauce in another. The sauce felt just tomatoes and no other flavour. My girlfriend ordered fettuccine Alfredo which was perfect. They have great selection of wine and the ambiance of the place is very good.

First time at Cafe Baci. Casual or elegant dressed? I saw both. The apetizer was really good, Goat cheese topped with a shrimp. The Sea bass did not disappoint ; buttery, flaky and tender, seasoned and cooked to perfection. The rack of lamb.... even though it was cooked as I requested medium rare; was not as tender as I expected. A must try is the home made pasta with alfredo sauce, so buttery and FRESH TASTING!!! The restaurant can use some update.
