Couldn't get a seat at my go to place for Italian food (Marcello's) in Sarasota so, I pass by this place often on South Tamiami and finally decided to try it.
The salad, was a gorgonzola cheese and walnut mix with house dressing and the special was veal Fiorentina, pounded thin with a spinach topping.
Overall pretty good, but felt the portions were small.

Delicious, fresh, Italian cuisine and served professionally by Joshua. I had a special; homemade fettuccine with sundried tomato, mushroom and I switched out the shrimp and scallops for the awesome veal. The Alfredo sauce was equally amazing, lite in texture and exquisitely flavorful and creamy. The place is ole school, plenty of staff to serve and take away finished plates timely. Absolutely delicious Italian food and even better service!
The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxing and our waitress Kasey was very attentive and accommodating.
We got to meet the owner and I absolutely love how attentive he is to his restaurant as well! We are from Colorado on our first family vacation but we will be back to this restaurant each time we come here! Highly recommend. Thank you 🙏

DELICIOUS food, INCREDIBLE service, & AMAZING atmosphere! Leo & his team really made us feel like family with made-from-scratch recipes, decadent wine choices & made us feel like regulars. We loved the burrata & prosciutto, & both enjoyed our lasagna & tortellini dishes! 10/10 would recommend.

I ordered the Penne Alla Vodka and it was very delicious! Everything was perfect and I’ll be ordering this dish again in the future. I also received an order or garlic bread with olive oil and it was to die for. The employees were very nice as well.

Great last meal of 2020. We had great service and really enjoyed the eggplant parmesan and shrimp scampi. If you are looking for great local Italian in Sarasota then look no further. This is the place for great food, service and atmosphere. Over 30 years in business and cheers to many more.

They make fresh pasta and that’s why the order takes time to come out. I ordered eggplant pasta and as per my thought process they would have come in one plate but instead the eggplant came in one plate and the sauce in another. The sauce felt just tomatoes and no other flavour. My girlfriend ordered fettuccine Alfredo which was perfect. They have great selection of wine and the ambiance of the place is very good.

First time at Cafe Baci. Casual or elegant dressed? I saw both. The apetizer was really good, Goat cheese topped with a shrimp. The Sea bass did not disappoint ; buttery, flaky and tender, seasoned and cooked to perfection. The rack of lamb.... even though it was cooked as I requested medium rare; was not as tender as I expected. A must try is the home made pasta with alfredo sauce, so buttery and FRESH TASTING!!!
The restaurant can use some update.

Every dish was loved to the last bite! Even GF Penne! My veal dish had the most lovely sauce to savor, a sure new favorite fir the next time I visit! Veal, Chicken Parm, Puttanesca Sauce with Spaghetti and Flounder. Yum!

Large restaurant that's serves delicious Italian dishes. Loved the trio of veal with the pasta side. Monte mare without pasta was generous. Not quiet and a big place. Not intimate
