delicious is not a strong enough word to explain how amazing the breakfast is here - highly recommend Monica’s Rancheros - spectacular. Also the croissants are the best in the USA we have eaten so far - really light and buttery and fresh. Highly recommend - oh and the view and service are excellent
Ordered this awesome shakshuka for breakfast. It was filling and delicious too. I can safely say this was the best shakshuka I've eaten. Tomato base wasn't too tangy. The view is totally worth it and the day starts amazing.
Omelettes were fresh, hot, and delicately seasoned. Attentive service. Wonderful coffee! The Veranda offers a nice view of the ocean, the pier, and a park.
This year marks The Georgian Hotel’s 80th anniversary on the beachfront of Santa Monica, CA. Vacationers have been drawn to this hotel for years for its glamour, grace, and speakeasy lore. The actual speakeasy is downstairs and is now used for meetings and private events. Black and white photos adorn the walls in the hotel and the interiors have been restored to their majestic heyday. It’s like you are watching a black and white movie and then the color magically appears, like The Wizard of Oz. The Veranda is the hotel’s restaurant which is situated on the actual veranda of the hotel. In celebration
The food here was good and they service was nice. We went during a brunch time and ordered the French toast and the chicken and waffles. There are no complaints regarding either order. The fruit on top was fresh, which I loved, and everything came out fairly quickly and was cooked great. The prices are a little high, but since we were eating on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica we already expected that. Overall, I’d recommend this place for brunch.
It was early on a Tuesday morning and I was craving breakfast and some mimosas. This was the closest place to me and man am I glad I stopped in. The view of the ocean is superb (no one was there so I had access to any seat I wanted). The meal that I got was the chicken and waffles and man was it delicious 😁. Very unique taste and much different than your standard Chicken and waffles meal. The customer service was also A+. They checked in when needed but for the most part let me enjoy my meal. I highly recommend this place for breakfast/lunch.
Stopped in for a quick meal and ended up having the loveliest time. Jeremy and Dom at the bar were so welcoming and made me feel right at home. Their drinks were delicious, and I had the fluffiest omelet of my life. The interiors and ambiance are fashionable yet tasteful, and the team really knows what they’re doing. Will be recommending to all my friends!
Hotel prices for food you would expect at the ocean front. A pleasant atmosphere and the server was super nice and helpful answering my questions. The cheese board is really nice with a good selection of cheese, honey, meats, and toast. The salmon was cooked perfect with lightly seasoned greens. The tea was a nice touch on a slightly chilly evening outside. Good views and definitely a good place on a warmer evening.
Loved this place fore brunch! We made a reservation for 2 on a Saturday, showed up about 20 minutes early and had no issue being seated. We were seated outside, requested a heater, and it was set up right away. We ordered the continental and the french toast, which was very tasty. The bathrooms located inside the hotel are also available and kept clean. Overall great food, great service, and great views. Definitely will return.
We were here with my dog and saw that they had burger that we could order for her (the pup!) But we were told that that menu with burger option ended at 6 and we were there past that time. The manager however went above and beyond and had the chef make my pup a burger! The food was phenomenal, so was the service for both humans and pups! We were definitely underdressed after a hike but felt welcomed nevertheless. Would highly recommend and would return again!
Made a reservation through Opentable and was seated right away. Keep in mind they were not accepting walk ins at the moment. Antonio was our server and he was very fast and friendly. Food was cooked nicely but not a huge fan of the chicken seasoning that they used. I would come back again and try other items on the menu.
This is THE restaurant of The Georgian hotel.
Came here for Happy Hour food deals, which is from 4-6pm.
You may sit on their covered patio or interior area (lobby). We sat inside this time, as I love looking at their heritage building’s design.
Ordered to share: guacamole/salsa & chips, calamari, parmesan fries, market salad & shishito peppers! Nice size for Happy Hour prices.
All well cooked and flavourful. Excellent staff service (as always!).
Depending on weather and holiday times, could be quiet or ultra busy.

The setting of the restaurant is really pretty. It's right off of Santa Monica Beach. The service was ok, things started off a bit slow, but when they realized they were slacking they picked up the pace.
When our food came, we had no silverware. We had to track down the waiter just to get our silverware. I ordered the burrito. It was okay but it just had way too many potatoes in it. The chicken and waffles looked pretty presentable and the flavor was pretty good as well. My friend ordered the French toast, it looked amazing. But it was just cold.
Overall I give the restaurant 4 stars, I would have given it 5 stars if we didn't have to track down our waiter a few times. They took the French toast off the check because the food was cold. Which was very nice and surprising. I would recommend this restaurant for anybody who wants to have that swanky Santa Monica experience.
My girlfriend and I had fun Sunday brunch at The Veranda. Good food, drinks and friendly service. Very pleasant atmosphere. Wonderful location. It is a very nice place to dine and celebrate any occasion. I highly recommend this restaurant.
