Our server, Mike, was terrific. He had a positive attitude, was attentive, and knew all about the menu. It can be intimidating trying new restaurants, especially when traveling out of state, but he made this a great experience. I ordered the chicken parmesan with spaghetti noodles and it was the best I have ever had in my life. I loved the atmosphere and the food. Thank you La Vecchia Cucina, I cannot wait to come back when I'm in LA again!
We came for Saturday night dinner. We were at a museum opening next door and already had wine. We ordered the Buratta with prosciutto and tomato. They were very generous with the tomatoes. Very good. I ordered the seafood salad and wife ordered the cheapest pasta. Just penne and sauce. Both dishes were very good. The surprise came when we got the check. Our alcohol free meal cost $100 with tip. Our server was excellent and the pizza bread is delicious but I think the price is a bit too high. I’m not a cheap person but I have to admit that I was surprised.
Low-key neighborhood spot in Ocean Park with a beautiful outdoor setup. If you’re looking for authentic and delicious Italian food, then La Vecchia is your spot…even the bread and oil are amazing!
My first time but my family go there regularly. Our server was both very good and very pretty. I look forward to going again and trying something different. I had the lasagna that we were told was made by the owners mother. It was very good.
The ragu and linguine alle vongole were both phenomenal! The outdoor seating was super cute and they had space heaters
Great venue and good food. We were there for happy hour. Ya gotta get to the bar when they open since that's where happy hour is. Good drinks and food.
We love this restaurant. Food has been consistently delicious. We usually split the tricolore salad which is a generous serving. The penne a la vodka is another favorite and we ask them to include chicken for protein. Always have some leftover for next day. Staff always friendly and professional.
Very cute and romantic spot. We started off with the capriccio imperiale, which was absolutely delicious. Then I got the rigatoni bolognese and my friend got the pollo al limone. Definitely recommend all of them. We were stuffed so didn’t have much room for dessert, but I’m sure it would have been just as wonderful. Server was very nice.
The lobster pasta was incredible. As was the créme brûlée and the tiramisu! Definitely will be back. Great wine selection and the service was quick and helpful!
This is my fave place to eat on Main St! Amazing food every single time! Your eyes WILL roll!! Even their complimentary bread w olive oil appetizers are to die for! Try the chicken sandwich, or the Vodka pasta, all I can say is OOOMG!!!
The cook you see in the pics, Tibu, is amazing! He has been here 27 years, since the restaurant opened, in the early 90s!
Gorgeous place too, great for business dinners, we go there for ours many times!!!
