There's a lot to be said for an establishment that consistently delivers fresh, top-quality food in a familial atmosphere. The staff here is phenomenal and efficiently takes orders for long lines of customers, always with a friendly smile! Hint for visitors: if you want to order like a local, grab a menu before you get in line and choose your side beforehand (fries, rice or baked beans for lunch plates; same plus baked potato option for dinner; cole slaw, fries, rice or baked beans for sandwiches).
Literally everything on the extensive menu is amazing, but here are a few personal favorites:
-Fish tacos
-Seafood mac n' cheese
-Fried haddock or broiled salmon sandwich
-Fried chicken with side of mac
Sam's has a great gluten-free menu and is one of the few restaurants where my sister, who has a gluten allergy, can consistently go out to eat without worrying she'll have a problem. There's also something to be said for the fact that my grandfather, who is VERY particular about food and customer service and not afraid to complain if he's dissatisfied, has never had a reason to do so here. In fact, he would choose Seafood Sam's over any other restaurant for dinner.
I can guarantee you'll leave happy if you come to Sam's for a meal. And in the off chance that you don't, the managers and owner of the company will do everything they can to make it right.
The food was outstanding. The fried clams with whole belly was the best, the sweetest, cooked perfectly. There was a group of us and they said the seafood platter with fried oyster, fish and fried clams with whole belly also perfect. The chowder was chock full of clams ~ potatoes ~ and they believe the smoky taste may have been from bacon. The clam roll, perfect. So on a scale of 1 to 5 I would have to give this restaurant a "10" ....
Great place with really excellent food. My daughter and I had the clam plates which were amazing. Clams were large whole belly gems with light golden batter. Fries were just right. Great slaw too. My wife had the lobster roll which was super fresh and light and my son (10yr old) had the chicken fingers. We all left with smiles and full bellies.
Wow — Great experience!!
Stopped in for a mid-afternoon summer vacation weekend lunch/dinner break. 3pm and the crowd was low and service was nice.
We went with the Cape Cod lobster dinner, 3 piece chicken dinner, cup of lobster bisque, and a kids mac-n-cheese. Everyone was more than satisfied.
The chicken dinner was nice and moist. Loved the seasoning the crisp cooked skin. 3 pieces was more than enough to share. Lobster dinner was a great price ($25) and $6 bisque was very nice.
This will be out go to seafood spot for “family” style dinner. We will hit the Pilot House for fancier dinning but this is comfort food served quickly and at a good price!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Perfect for casual seafood. We brought a party of 14 and I think this was the easiest way to entertain us all. We sat outside and could move all the tables around and not bother everyone. The bar tender was extremely friendly. The man taking our food order at the counter was very patient and helpful. They even let us borrow extra utensils for a birthday cake we brought. They were extremely accommodating and the seafood was fried perfectly. Even with our large party, they got every meal correct. That's hard to do! Prices are also very reasonable. Regular sized lobster roll was $21 and came with fries and a pickle. @amp_eats (instagram and Facebook)
A cute little place by the canal. We got the lobster rolls with a side of fries and coleslaw. The prices were better than most in the area and the drinks were really good and strong. The restaurant felt more like a cafeteria where you order at a counter and find a place to sit. It was very clean and easy to maneuver. Overall, we had a nice lunch for a decent price with a nice view.
Very good food! Portions are generous. This is a really nice local place to eat. You can eat inside or on the patio. There are plenty of seating areas. Seafood Sam's was recommended by a friend, and we were satisfied. After we ate, we went across to the waterfront to look around.
My family and I eat at Seafood Sam’s at least once a year during our annual vacation to the Cape. Seafood is always very fresh and they are pretty generous with portions. This year, we had their lobster bisque, clam chowder, hot buttered lobster roll, classic cold lobster roll, french fries, and cole slaw. Our kids had their linguine and Mac and cheese. All kids meals come with a tootsie pop for dessert! In years past, we’ve gotten their whole bellied clam roll, steamers, and fried seafood. We’ve never had a bad meal here! There’s a bar inside if you want a beer or cocktail. And there’s ample indoor and outdoor seating!
I love the walk-up place, order your food, and find the table you want. Food is always good, small and larger portions available.
Very pleasing place, came down on a Friday evening and there were tables available. Shrimp Scampi pasta took around 20mins to be ready, it was delicious and plenty of shrimps for an $18 meal in cape cod! Note that there is no waiters, you order, grab your plate and sit wherever
Tables are clean and fountain drink is clean and filled up, there is also a bar to get alcohol beverages. Would definitely recommend!
This was one of my favorite places to go with my family as a kid growing up on the Cape. Went back in 2021 and the place is still solid! A lot of those places from childhood seem to disappear over the years due to economic changes, management changing hands, etc. but Sam’s has stuck around and grown.
The clam strips were hot and fresh. No rubber bands. Fast service and a nice format that keeps things moving. The dining areas are nice and bright with a ton of windows.
I can’t visit the Cape now without going here and then walking the canal. You can’t beat the combination of nostalgia and seafood from your childhood. Thank you!
Very fresh seafood and great options for us non- seafood people. Our bartender was great too!!
