Bad service. Waited a long time for someone to even approach me. Not busy and not understaffed. Bar unattended for long periods of time. Not to mention the brutal wait to try and pay my tab. Can’t recommend.

Great vibe in this clean, modern, yet comfortable space. We sat at the bar and were impressed by the friendliness and expertise of the bartender. Appetizers with several local friends were tasty. Excellent location. Much more than the average watering hole!

I'm fairly new to town. I'm from Seattle, so it's taken places like the Backdoor to help me acclimate to the environment. It's fun and laid back with a sophisticated yet relaxing atmosphere. The service is fantastic and the drinks are on fleek. One of the main attractions is Brandon, the handsome experienced bartender who offers a welcoming smile, great banter and plenty of laughs. Good times all around!

The atmosphere of this place is absolutely amazing. Anthony the bartender is a riot and you can bet that I’ll try to be here with my fiancé every Sunday. The fondue is awesome and I never thought a bar/restaurant would serve fondue and it was amazing.

The best part of this little bar is the name, for some reason there is an endless supply of "back door" jokes (and if you don't understand the reference I guess bar jokes aren't your forte). This is one of those pop up wine bar type of establishments so there isn't hard alcohol, the music is always VERY good, the food doesn't appeal to me on a personal level as I don't like to spoil my buzz with trendy food, the burger I had was good, I once ate the shrimp cocktail and that was not good.

The Backdoor is the secret gem of Sandpoint. A locals only vibe that will give you that "Cheers, were everyone knows your name" feeling from the very first visit. Walking in you will be be warmly greeted by the best bartender in the world, Brandon. Brandon's expertise and witty banter are the core of this establishment. They have a carefully selected choice of craft beers, hard to come by and a simple but on-point menu.
