Money Pit

We went for lunch today It was good. We had the BLT and The Mess and fries. Side note the onion rings are made by hand... They serve a full breakfast and lunch menu including salads, burgers, sandwiches and wraps. They have a drive thru and ample indoor seating that is well spaced apart masks are required inside. The service was great fast and everything was hot and delicious. The veggies were super fresh and the tomatoes were juicy and ripe. They have really good french fries, they are crispy and well seasoned. This was a win for me!

Really great fries. Nice and hot and well seasoned. Burgers were great too. Fair warning... the patties are really thin. I'd say 2 of them would equal what passes as a quarter pounder, but that's just a guess. Either way, super fresh tasting burger and super fast service. Forget all about those garbage burgers at in & out. THIS place knows how to make you a burger and fries 1000 times better than that slop.

The last inexpensive breakfast place in North County. It used to be a bank, then turned restaurant, hence the name. “The mess” is what I got (pictured)— so good. Definitely get it. You can get some of the food in either a “wrap” or plated which is cool. This place has Denny’s vibes but unlike Dennys after covid they didnt slash their menu in half. The tables have various board games, newspaper cut outs, and pictures made of real money (epoxied of course). The name is more intimidating than anything, everything is reasonably priced, smells clean, it’s got diner vibes, it’s what you’d expect for what it is.

Well run, clean, excellent food preparation. Preparation. A minor issue on the last visit, it was quickly resolved to our satisfaction. Burgers are well. Made, the combo fry basket has all the best stuff and is a great balance of mushrooms, zucchini, onion rings and fries. Highly recommend anything they offer!

First time here: I had a burger and fries with a drink - No big deal there. But the fries are very nicely seasoned. And they serve a buttermilk dipping sauce that is just perfect with those fries! So perfect in fact that it's addicting eating those fries! I could not stop dipping and eating those fries!! If you're a french fry fan like I am and you enjoy a good buttermilk dipping sauce, you will love the Money Pit!
