I have picked up food at this fine establishment is Caribbean barbecue. If you haven't had it highly recommended staff is very friendly. The only thing that I would say that negative is negative is waiting time. For your orders, and that is because the food is so d***** delicious. So if you're looking for a Caribbean experience, look no further. Prefer delivery or take out his best as they are very busy

11/21/23 @12pm. I really like the food it's so tasty specially the oxtails. I can't lie though there is this one white lady with glasses. She is really weird about serving proper portions. When I ask her about it she gives attitude. I'm a regular and everytime she serves me I am never satisfied. She be skimping. Lol This has happened to mee a couple times. She is rude to me I won't be returning to this spot. If I do and I see her im turning around. I'm glad they opened up another one on 13th. I love them oxtails.

Very small shop. If you're expecting a place where you can dine indoors, there is no indoor seating. They have a few tables outside where you can sir and eat. They do not do substitutions. I got the oxtail and wanted to substitute the rice and beans for the collared greens. I was told that substitutions were not an option, and how the customer wants it is how they make it, which was a contradiction. The collared greens were spicy, so if you can't handle spice, I would not get it. The plantains are also okay, not great. Their cream soda was pretty good and not overwhelming with the cream taste. The food comes in a to-go container, which makes it convenient. Customer service was meh, not great, which puts me on the fence on if I would come back.

Excellent Caribbean style food. Last time I had jerked pork along with buttery rice and beans, and fried plantains. Large portions, spicy without overwhelming the flavor if the food.
The place is small, though it does have good outdoor seating. It's also very convenient to San Jose State, and is a fine alternative to on-campus restaurants.

Good food, good portions. Love the jerk chicken and festivals. Food comes pretty fast.
This location has outdoor seating at very wobbly tables, better to carry out, but nice for sitting and wait.

Main theme is jerk seasoning and sauce. Several meat options, including pork ribs, salmon, and oxtails. You generally pick a protein, and it's served with a rice and beans side dish and a couple of pieces of fried plantain. Never having tasted oxtails before, I ordered a combo of jerk chicken and oxtails. The chick was delicious. I discovered that I can live without eating another oxtail, but it's because it's too fatty for my taste. Flavors knocked my socks off, though. The sides were excellent as well. A combo meal, and a piece of pineapple upside down cake set me back $26. Would do it again tonight, but want to try something else new. Absolutely worth a visit!

Have you tried the fried plantain with ox tail, it was a revelation.
It's a combination that i haven't really tried before but it's a winning combination indeed. Definitely a must try!
