10/2020 The Dining Room is closed but they have tables outside. I ordered the Western Burger. It's described as Tillamook Cheddar, Onion Rings, Apple wood Bacon, Smoked Hickory (Sauce), Lettuce Tomato, Brioche Bun. I got the dollar upgrade to sweet potato fries.
The brioche bun was nice, however the burger patty was a mass produced frozen patty. Instead of Onion Rings there was just one. All in all, not bad value for this area.
The staff was helpful and friendly, but this is downtown San Jose so I got hit up for money by a guy who just set up shop on the next table (free rent).
Pros:
-Open late
-You order at the counter: no splitting the bill/Vemoing each other
-Good food and drink: try the Cubano and hot buttered rum
-Nice outdoor seating area with heaters
My con:
-Has tvs inside and outside (a pro for some)
Wings are the best I’ve had so far in SF. Took 1 star off as prices at this place are insane. I know inflation has gone up but this restaurant is on a whole new level. I would prob come more often if there wings were priced a little more competitively.$2.35 a chicken wing is pretty crazy.
Walking in the restaurant was clean. Got to the order counter and there was someone there to take my order, she was pleasant and patient as I looked at the menu. I ordered a pitcher of Blue moon that came nicely crisp and cold very refreshing only thing it missed was the orange slices (witch i asked for but was no biggie), my food was made to order so the food came hot and fresh. Fries were good and hot and the Philly cheese steak was delicious 😋. I liked the fact that there is TV's all over the place and it was football Sunday so it was a very good time.
Went in here with some friends as we usually go here to hang out. Great spot on a non-busy day where parking meters are available in front of the restaurant. It's got a few flat screens that show sports whenever games are on. I ordered the Cali burger with tater tots and the Tri-tip sandwich. Both were amazing.
they have a nice tap selection with beer from places like Russian River, Fieldwork, AleSmith. i had the disco fries and wings with traditional sauce here. both are awesome bar foods: disco tots were crispy topped with a ton of cheese/bacon; wings were also crispy and tossed with a thick buffalo sauce. workers were welcoming and friendly
Born and raised in Buffalo, and was told I had to eat here while I was in town. Not disappointed. The wings were big and well cooked. The sauces were delicious. I tried about half of them, including the hottest. While I've had spicier, these were definitely among the best because they had good flavor, without melting your tongue off. Overall, I recommend the "Traditional Death" as the best combination of spicy and tastey.
Came for lunch on a Friday. Staff was amicable and food was relatively quick to be served. Great place in downtown for a great meal. Lots of options to choose from on their menu from chicken to burgers with several beer options as well. The California burger was delicious and well cooked.
First time having smoke eaters. It's not a sit down restaurant. Their sauces are made from scratch which are pretty tasty they could add more spice (just saying). Wings are delicious maybe a little over sauced. Beer selection is pretty good with a lot of craft beer on taps. Overall I would recommend this place for wings, beer, and burgers.
This place is a wonderful place to go and hangout; whether its with friends, or fellow sports fans. This place is loaded with large screen TV's so you never miss a beat.
The wings here are average, but the sauce is what makes the wings. I've tried the inferno sauce twice the first time had a vinegary taste, so i didn't like it. The second time i had them they were much better and i could really feel the taste of the peppers. It was the most beautiful thing.
