The best Bun Bo Hue I have ever tried from the day I arrived in the US (especially Silicon Valley). Plenty of side veggies, and the flavor is so strong and exactly what I want to find
The staff are also friendly
I walked in with another girlfriend on Thursday for dinner and there were only a few tables full. I asked for recommendations and our young and friendly waiter with blonde highlights (shout-out for good service!) suggested "Bun Dau Mam Tom" (fried tofu, fishcake and steamed pork with special sauce (fermented fish and pineapple?) - he said 9 out of 10 parties order this. However, I'm not a huge fan of the sauce and wanted something grilled. So we decided on "Bun Nem Cha Dac Biet", which came with grilled pork, pork cake and fried wonton wrappers with a sweat sauce.
+ For $36 you get so much food. We finished half and I shared the leftover with another person (so it feeds 4 people total)
-pork needs to be cut thinner
Overall it was a great experience, I can't say anything bad about using your hands and making your own rolls.
Tip:
1) Come with a group of at least 3-4 people if you want to order a specialty dish
2) Ask for some chopped red chili to add some kick to your rolls
We always go here for the Bo Tu Vi. Very good. Service was good compare to other Asian restaurant. However the place is little run down over the year and Asian restaurant seem to not care. If it works why fix it attitude.
Popular spot. Lots of locals sitting outside, a d people coming and going with take out. Bought a big mixed sampler dish to take out and share with friends. One of my go to spots, attached to a big popular Asian mall that's great to walk around in. Food court is popular.
This is a great restaurant! We come here a lot and always enjoy it. The owners and staff are really nice people, the food is always tasty and is reasonably priced. Our favorite is the bun dao man tom. It’s really really good!
Very delicious fish and blood congee. Owner is super nice and the servers are attentive.
Great bun dau mam tom for 30 bucks
if you would like to try something a little more unique Vietnamese food, then bun dau mam tom should be in that list. bun dau mam tom – Vietnamese fermented shrimp paste noodle. To create the best sauce, mam tom is blended with lime, sugar and chili peppers, creating an ultimate balance of salty, sweet, sour and spicy. It tastes amazing
With a large space and quite comfy tables, this place serves the best bun dau mam tom . If you like to try bun dau mam tom, you definitely come here.
A typical Asian cafe. The food is good, the staff is friendly, the selection is varied. The have a decent wine selection.
