I have been going here since it was a florist The place smelt a little better back then Curry is good What makes this place great is the patrons, and the staph is rad. I never met a bartender there was a douchebag.

Wonderful Experience at Trails Pub in San Jose! Trails Pub in San Jose is a gem that should not be missed. Whether you're looking for a delicious meal, a relaxed atmosphere, or a great selection of drinks, this place has it all. Nice beers on tap, loved the Smithwicks. My partner had Dragon's Slayer. We wanted to play darts, and you can just request darts from the amazing bartender. I can't wait to return and try more of their offerings.

No nonsense pub, we've been going to this place for years with consistent good service and scrumptious Canadian chips. Come one come all!

The food was amazing and they serve beer you don't find in most places. I got ignored a little bit so I didn't have all the beer I was hoping to, but the shepherd's pie really made up for what I had at a different pub earlier in the week.

Generous pours of a diverse set of beers, ranging from wheat to stouts. And then the combinations thereof. Had a chill Friday evening here and got a ploughman's plate, though one of the cheeses was a bit fungal. Decent prices & friendly staff. We took vta here, but parking might be possible on nearby streets.

A real British pub rather than a British theme park. Friendly staff, great food and drinks and a warm atmosphere. It's a popular local for a lot of people for a reason

I never thought I'd find a true Pub in the USA... The "Pub," is a Public house where all are welcome. Most pubs in the UK were actually someone's home, at some point... They just decided to open a business, installed a bar and invited their friends over for a pint. The living room slowly became the seating area, and the walls were eventually adorned with random momentos donated or accidentally left by neighbors. "British Pubs" of the US present themselves as more British than Brits. They are souless self-advertising machines that pelt you with pictures of red telephone booths, shiny brass rails, Union Jacks on everything and Guiness ads under every drink. Absolutely obnoxious, and totally American in execution! However, San Jose's Trials gets the vibe right! Great food, cask ales, classic music, and a vibe that feels like a home, lovingly decorated by the locals. It is wholey owned by its clientele and it would be hard to find a night where the patrons don't already know each other. You can grab a drink and get loud over a bowl of hot curried chips, or slink around to the back room, and curl up next to the fireplace with a good book and a ploughman's plate. I have a deep love for Trials and I can only hope that you are lucky enough to experience it, too!
