For the creamiest soft serve green tea ice cream, come here!! It’s located inside Mitsuwa Market. I’ve tried their matcha flavor and always love it, this time tried the vanilla and black sesame and all were fantastic! The cone bowl can easily be shared by 3 people. I LOVE ice cream and shared a bowl with my bf and we were sadly not able to finish the whole thing.
There can be a long line and slow service (this has been confirmed on several visits) but I still find the ice cream worth the wait.
Great tea-flavored soft serve. The Matcha is good but my favorite is Hojicha (roasted green tea). I also tried the black sesame today which was good. The workers are friendly and the line moves fast.
Love their black sesame ice cream. It's so silky , creamy and wonderful. Suggested it to my friend and he loved it as well. Have already had it twice this month. 😊
Very good ice cream. Not much I can say, they have 4 different flavors matcha, black sesame, vanilla and hoji. All are pretty good just the hoji has a different taste that I think some would have to take a few spoonfuls to have a better idea if they like it or not. As a note for people who have never been here before, the place is inside Mitsuwa and it is always busy on the weekend. Parking is a pain here at times but you get used to it after coming here for a while.
Small cone with matcha and sesame twist. Staff let me have a waffle cone for my small size order eventhough large size is supposed to use the waffle cone (which is probably why you're wondering why the cone is so short).
Deliciously soft and smooth. Not too strong. Perfect balance.
California Hip Hop artist SpenDoe is back with another food review! Can't go wrong with Matcha ice cream. I have always been a fan of green tea ice cream. There are many different brands, and styles. This also depends on the type of green tea that is used for flavor. Matcha Love is an awesome spot. I highly recommend it.
I have been here lots of times, if you are a crazy MATCHA lover as me, definitely don't miss it! Plus, I hope matcha love will have more shops in SF, San Jose is kind of far!
My new favorite ice cream is black sesame! It has a nutty flavor. The other two, green tea and roasted green tea were great as well
After Santouka ramen, it's a ritual to get ice cream afterward and cleanse the salty tongue with sweet, cold goodness. In order of preference: black sesame, hoji cha, matcha. I wasn't a fan of their seasonal azuki bean.
This location is tucked inside the Mitsuwa market as a corner store within their food court. Pretty good ice cream soft-serve spot for a quick dessert or sweet cravings fix. Their swirl combination pairings are Black Sesame/Green Tea and Hijocha/Vanilla. The flavors such as the Black Sesame are not as strong and fragrant as they could be but if you appreciate more subtle flavors this might be the place for you. Pricing varies by size, the cost is the same for your soft serve in a cup or a cone.
