Top Cafe is exactly what we want when we want an evening of Hong Kong hot plates. Zero frills, cold bright lighting, well used tables. Solid fare. Could always be a tick finer, but it is exactly right for us. Well priced!!
Top Cafe is a late-night haven for Hong Kong food enthusiasts like me. The Beef Chow Fun was a standout – tender beef, fresh veggies, and an explosion of flavors in every bite.
The cozy ambiance made me feel right at home, and the attentive staff added to the welcoming vibe. While more menu variety would be great, Top Cafe's hours and delicious dishes will definitely have me coming back. Perfect for satisfying those late-night cravings!
We frequent this Hong Kong style cafe/diner throughout the years. It’s one of the go to restaurants when we get hungry at odd hours and when nothing else in particular comes to mind. There’s so many delicious items on the menu, you’ll almost always find something you like. You can’t go wrong.
They served a lot of dishes. Little salty, but foods are good. If you feel hungry at late night, this place is one of your choices. They are open til 3AM.
Came here on a Tuesday night and got seated immediately - it's not super busy at around 5 pm to 6 pm!
Good:
I really like the food quality here - it's different than a lot of the places I've been to and it's pretty solid food. I like the spaghetti bolognese here even though it feels like a super out of place thing at this kind of HK restaurant - but it comes in this hot stone bowl and feels super fresh and the sauce is beautiful - just enough flavor and slightly sweet too.
The Russian borsch soup is great too and I felt like it tasted more like minestrone soup which I also like and it is very flavorful.
Bad:
The service here isn't great - the waiters have forgotten our orders and we had to bug them for it. They are nice though.
The gyoza and fried tofu here are pretty bland so I'd skip those.
Overall I like the food here and would come again! It's pretty cheap too so it's really worth for the amount and the portion sizes.
This has been a go-to place for every midnight cravings for my friends in college. Prices are moderate yet have a good taste enough for us to close our nights. Location wise can be better for public transportation reachability however, it is a solid place.
The food is fantastic, and they're open late. I work nights, so it's nice to have a place to eat late at night on the weekends. The service is fast, and you call ahead of time, so the food is ready when you get there.
Delicious food with good price. We had spicy salty pork chop, tomato egg and beef stew with white radish. Every dish was yummy and serving size was just right.
A casual place serving classic Cantonese and Hong Kong tea cafe cuisines.
Service is slow due to understaffing.
Most dishes are not refined, but tate great nevertheless. They remind me of little casual restaurants in Hong Kong.
I wish it looked nicer, faster, and better service, but for the price point, it's reasonable.
It’s a traditional Hong King style cafe with all the selection you’ll usually find, from steak spaghetti to fried rice. I’m a sucker for beef chow fun but there are plenty of decent dishes. Black pepper chicken steak spaghetti, baked spaghetti, char xiu pan fried noodles, Singapore fried noodle, wonton soup noodles, and most fried rice dishes are other stuff I order on a. Regular basis.
