This is a solid and suitable option for bánh mì, roast duck, and more snacks! (also very affordable). Take in mind is an "only cash place," with a simple menu, a little grocery inside, and a couple of tables to enjoy your food. But it is definitely worth the visit. For lunch yesterday, I had a Vegetarian sandwich. The only thing I will add is hot salsa or some dip. I asked for it, but they don't have it (not even for sale in the grocery area).

The roasted duck here is pretty good and lean. You can order a half duck or whole duck for $25. My kids they love it. They also have the lechon too crunchy skin roadted pork. If you want bread, they also have the banh mi Vietnamese sandwiches, spring rolls, deserts, and many different dishes to choose from. The store has a good location on Tully, and then you can hop on the freeway cose by.

Good place for banh mi with egg and other snacks or meals. We often get half a duck for dad and BBQ pork belly at the chopping board. There is Vietnamese prepped food as well and in the morning is a great selection. The drinks are fun too, I am partial to taro.

Exellent Vietnamese sandwiches. The baguette is crunchy outside and fluffy inside. The combo of pickles and different meats are just heavenly. The prices have gone up a lot over the last few years, but the sandwiches are also larger, roughly a foot long. They also have Chinese roast ducks, chickens, and several Vietnamese deli items. A great place to have authentic Vietnamese deli.

Huong Lan offers a lot more than just Vietnamese sandwiches. As far as I know, they are the only place that makes a bbq pork, egg and lap cheong (Chinese preserved sausage) banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich). I only noticed it after ordering my usual #1 ham and pate banh mi $6. I also got their banh cuon (steamed rice noodle) cha lua (Vietnamese ham) $10. Huong Lan also have a BBQ meats section, bakery, drink station and hot food area. This is my spot for a great banh mi. It is always delicious. No line at 3:15pm on a Sunday! Love these folks.

Cash only… as everyone says. Love their meat ball banh mi. And bunch If pre-made and fresh bento box is good for lunch and dinner! Each one is around $7

GOOD VIETNAMESE RICE CAKES FOUND 🌷 I have been on the quest to find some GOOD Bánh Chưng and Bánh Tét. Got some bad ones in the past from pretty well known places on Story Road and inside Century Plaza—all rice and minimal stuffing (mung bean and/or meat). FINALLY I found them at this Huong Lan store. The best ones so far. Although the mung bean filling is not smooth enough and the meat is not seasoned at all, I am pretty happy for now with them at Huong Lan because they have good ratio of beans and meat vs the rice. So far so good.

This place sells different kinds of food that are affordable, including a Vietnamese sandwich combo no 12 for about $7.

The best Viet Sandwich in San Jose IMHO. The bread is crispy and soft. The peanut spread is delicious. I typically ask for extra spread.

The duck is the reason we frequent San Jose. Drive miles and miles just for Huong Lan duck. They only cook so many in a day so get there before they're gone. So fresh and tasty not dry and the flavor is always great. They also have a wide variety of other items but for us we come specifically for that amazing duck. Keep up the great cooking and I'll keep driving way out of my way to get them
