I had a lunch special of shrimp ,beans and rice with some soup, the food was fresh and flavorful. The portion size was a bit small. I would go back again.
I have been coming here since 1995. A downtown classic! Always fresh, always delicious, and some unique specialties. I've worked my way through the menu and keep coming back. Current favorites are House Special Beef, and Three Treasures Kung Pao.
Absolutely one of the best tasting house chow main! wonton soup? Is the best, I come all the way from Gilroy to get it.
The owner is always so nice and friendly!
This is your classic family style Chinese restaurant that is the absolute best to order takeout from. Everything I’ve ordered has always been very good – We really like the fried rice here! Interior is seemingly clean and all of the food seems to be well prepared.
We ordered the Orange Peel Chicken - Delicious, flavorful and juicy
Salt n Pepper shrimp - so fresh, so hot, so sweet. And they use peeled and deveined shrimps 🍤 yum!
Potstickers - so many yummy noises from across the table.
Broccoli beef - tender, delicious very generous portions.
We're only visiting the area and expected fast food Chinese and found a reasonably priced family style restaurant with excellent service and the lady is a real spit fire. We liked her alot
Was in walking distance to The Westin & San Jose State! A Mom & Pop restaurant with amazing Chinese food!! The Walnut Shrimp, Fried Rice and Hot & Sour Soup were amazing!! We were on a college tour of SJSU with our son & loved it all!!!
Jenny is awesome. Her prices are reasonable and the food is absolutely tasty. Portions are appropriate. You don't feel bloated going back to your desk after lunch.
I have been going to Jenny's restaurant for over 20 years.
Absolutely delicious! I love the black pepper beef, Peking ribs, chicken with spicy string beans. There is a reason they’ve been in business for over 30 years. That’s how long we’ve been going there. John & Jenny are both so kind.
This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the city and probably one of my favorite restaurants flat out in the city. The food is fantastic and the staff is sooo friendly. They also have a wide selection of awesome vegetarian options. And if that’s not enough, it’s also very affordable! ~20 per person gets you dinner and leftovers for another full meal at home. (Chinese food gets even better as leftovers! But don’t wait too long)
My usuals are the veg kung pow, sweet and sour chicken, and spicy garlic broccoli! But we like to switch one thing out each time we visit, just for some variation. Can’t suggest this place hard enough!
GOOD FOOD BUT SMALL PORTIONS. Maybe I've been spoiled by the other local Chinese spots in the area but these portion size are not what I was expecting.
Mixed veggies tasted fresh. Rice tasted like rice. Kung Pao sauce could have been a bit spicer but thats why they have the chili oil on the table.
Overall good experience, just small portions.
