Stone Stew 1 Iranian restaurant is a hidden treasure! The service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. They were polite, attentive, and ensured all our needs were met. The food was a revelation. The kebabs were perfectly grilled, oozing with flavors, and the portion sizes were generous. The lamb stew was a standout, cooked to perfection, and the fragrant herbs and spices made every bite a delight. The saffron ice cream for dessert was the perfect way to end our meal. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making us feel like we were dining in a Persian home. The soft lighting and traditional decor added to the charm. I can't wait to return to this restaurant and explore more of their menu. A must-visit for anyone looking for an authentic Iranian dining experience!

I come here often with family and friends and the food has always been consistently good and freshly cooked. I like that the bread is warm and toasty. Too bad they raised their prices. The waiters and waitresses are forgetful and take too long though. I had to ask for the bill 3x, water 2x…Otherwise, I give them 5 stars.

Good Persian food, with a nice outdoor space. The indoor was open but we didn’t use it because of Covid. The food was good and their service was also good. It wasn’t the best Persian food I have had in the area but it worths trying! Their Barg Kabab was better than their Koobideh. The owner also stopped by our table and was very kind.

I decided to hold my Mom's celebration of life according to the Iranian tradition at the Stone Stew restaurant. I talked with the owner, Naseem. She promised to create an ambiance worthy of my Mom and she did not disappoint! The food, service and attention to details were top notch. I didn't have to do anything; the package she offered contained all the food items that our tradition required. I'd like to thank Naseem for the wonderful work she and her team did to celebrate my Mom's life!

Best Persian food in San Jose area. Been coming to this place for years and the quality of the food has always been great. We usually get a Stone Stew and Kabobs and they are fairly big portions and very delicious. Make sure to get some of their delicious Mast Mooseer (shallot yogurt) with any dishes you get. They also have a big place suitable for big parties

With such inflation in Bay Area, this place offered a good food and friendly service with reasonable price, plus the cozy atmosphere and exotic decorations, we’ll definitely come back here again.

I live only a couple of blocks away from this place and had never seen it before. The restaurant is located in a small complex on the Saratoga Ave road and the entrance to this place is through a convenience store (the most unexpected entrance I have ever seen). If it wasn't for yelp, I would have not even known of this place! The moment you step into the restaurant, it feels like you are in a different part of the world all together. The place is decorated very authentically, each corner you look at will have something new and different belonging to the Persian culture/community. (I think for a good 30 mins I was only marveling at the beauty and rawness of the place) I went there on a late Saturday afternoon, the place was quite empty given the timing we went at. The staff members were very quick in taking our order and checked with us couple of times if we were doing okay there. The menu is pretty vast, best part is they have shareable menu items-food plates for 2 (and you can customize what you want in there). I had ordered the Jajrood Chicken Kabab which came with rice and grilled tomato and little side of cabbage salad. They ask you for chicken if you want chicken breast or thigh (its great to have the option of picking which one you want). My friend got the Lamb and Beef skewer with sides. The food came in good quantity, well presented. The rice were steamed really well and had saffron in them as well which tasted great! The tomato was grilled well. My friend really enjoyed his skewers, the lamb was soft and well cooked. The chicken skewers were hit or miss. Some pieces were really well cooked and tasted great but once or twice there were instances where I could feel it was not cooked very nicely. The marination was great, very flavorful and was neither too spicy, nor too bland. Highlight: It was so cool, I realized it after 5 mins of staring at the menu-The menu opens from back to the front, the dessert items are in the front and the main course starts from the back :)
