Really good burgers and friendly service! Average sides and salad.
Best place to get a burger, especially to ruin your workout after the gym that is next door... Although, they do have a good salad bar too.
We had driven by this place so many times. During a Google search, I happened to check out its menu and my family and I decided we wanted to try it. Shortly after that, I saw a news story that the landlord refused to renew its lease and they'd be closing early next year. So, we had to actually make it in to try. Boy, did it give me vibes to classic places I went to as a boy. The best thing was the servings and prices were something from the past too. Really good food with affordable prices that would allow a family of four to eat there and not wipe us out for the month. Wife got the Flat Iron Steak which came with fries and bread. I got the Cheese Steer Burger which is like a long burger sandwich with a baked potato. Prices were good enough that we each got a cup of the soups of the day, Clam Chowder and Vegetable Beef. Really delicious. Only drawback was a poorly cleaned spoon with one of the soups. There was only 1 waitress and 1 bus boy, but boy were they hard working and incredibly friendly and attentive. Definitely bringing my boys back here. Place is big with plenty of booth seating. Plenty of parking in the small strip mall lot. I hope the landlord reconsiders and renews their lease. It looks like they've already driven out most of the surrounding businesses. I'd hate to see them drive them all out just to know the buildings down and replace them with a giant multi-story complex.
Alex was my server. He made sure my chilli fries came out nice & hot. Perfectly fried crispy fries. Dare I say way better than McDonald's. I passed by a Five Guys & Chick-fil-A to dine at Burger Pit.
MY GOODNESS! This restaurant will always have a special place in my heart. Grew up eating really special meals here with my family, went to high school at Pioneer.. I have fond memories of one of the staff practicing ASL with me when I was learning as a youngster over 15 years ago, too (I think his name was Ken, and Ken, thanks man, you have no idea the wheels you set in motion that day- it was a day that changed my life and I will never forget it!) Come for the burgers, become part of the extended family. I have never seen anyone- staff or customer, frown inside this restaurant. The menu is down right comforting, delicious, and so filling! I have appreciated the consistency and quality here for 30 years. Even the way they season the food is special! So perfect! I now live a bit too far away to enjoy as frequently as I used to, but I'll be making special trips before it closes just to make sure I soak it all up. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a meal to go, too, because the next day you'll be craving it! Thank you Burger Pit for all of the food and memories.
If you want a classic old school dining experience, this is the place. Enter and step back in time. Friendly staff, good food. Can't go wrong here. Really enjoyed our burgers with friends. Girl helping out in dining area was friendly and frequently asked if we needed refills on drinks or anything else. Sadly, they may be closing in April 2024, so get here quick so you can enjoy some good food and nostalgia.
Old school restaurant. The store was established in 1964. The restaurant layout is old fashioned but business is good. The staff is very friendly and warm. The price is reasonable. Highly recommended.
Service and staff are absolutely excellent, they're kind and constantly check and wait on you without expectation. Very old old school mindset, love it. Super awesome historic ambiance as well, and the pricing is VERY good.
Unfortunately found the food a bit bland. Fries and onion rings are fine. Steak sandwich was a bit too boring, though tender. The burgers have a good char and are cooked exactly as you ask but they're outclassed quite easily by modern day burger joints.
I'd say the food alone is 3.5 but the incredible service and historic value make it a 4.5.
Like a trip back to the 70's, except all the patrons are now over 70. The menu is incredible. Every possible form of meat (burgers, steaks, chops, ribs, chicken, fish). The service was excellent. The place was super clean and fresh. It was sad to hear it will be closing in a few months. It really is a time capsule that has great food that somehow just isn't as popular as it once was. Enjoy it before it's too late!!
Try their Chili Size. There's nothing like it anywhere else. So good. Tuna Sandwhich is just OK. Everything else is amazing.
The staff are all super friendly and make you feel like family. Awesome place to eat.
We went with a friend because we had both enjoyed Burger Pit many many years ago; and now it was going to close. The food was still very good, my wife's onion rings were reported the best ever. But the restaurant's upkeep shows a lot of wear and tear. But absolutely worth a nostalgic visit before the close in the spring.
One of the few original Burger and Steak places left. This place is classic! No digital menu signs here. Great food and service.
