We been to this location about three or four times, today’s service was excellent, our waiter was very professional and patience, he kept checking on us if we needed anything else. the food was very good, coffee always good. Restaurant was clean overall. Enough and spacious parking lot spaces. I really liked the blueberry pancakes with fresh fruit on top. We didn’t feel rushed at any moment The Prices are affordable for the location, the restrooms were clean too. thank you
This is my first time visiting this location, so I read the Google reviews first. I was craving steak and eggs. According to the reviews, everyone who ate the t-bone steak was pleased. Covid 19 restrictions are practiced at this location. You must wear a mask to enter. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted and seated. Armando, my server, brought over a menu and took my drink order. Of course, I ordered the t-bone steak, medium well, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, hash browns, wheat toast and black coffee. My first sip of coffee was eye opening good. Every single morsel of food was flavorfully delicious. Most importantly, this amazing breakfast was served by a great server, Armando. You won't be disappointed..
The impossible burger is absolutely plant based patty and is amazing

The neighborhood is pretty bad but at least inside it’s clean and lots of empty tables. The waiter has worked there for many years and the food Is good. Right next to the light rail and freeway so it’s convenient. Also there are lots of scooters nearby to hop on that are charged nearby the 711 on the corner of 1st and Gish
Service is quick, even for pick-up orders. The food is up to Denny's standards.
The server was great, the food was cooked and served perfectly... Me and my husband were very happy with our meals. Best Denny's I've been to in a long time.
By far the best at Denny's in San Jose in my opinion and I've been to a lot of them me and my kids go nearly every couple weeks.
The staff at the Denny's on 1st was wonderful as always the orders taking quickly and the food gets out quickly and it always tastes wonderful usually not very crowded good bang for the buck.
It's an old facility in need of updating. On the positive side the food was delicious and portions were huge. My wife and I split the chicken fried steak.
I am impressed with how Denny's is working to improve their breakfast! The grand slam deal $6.99 was a large portion! The pancakes were fluffy and hot! The eggs were fluffy and cooked very well! The sausage was a little undercooked, but it was quickly replaced. My bacon was just right crispy and not dry or over cooked. I had great service and my coffee was always full!

There are two Denny's an equal distance, more or less, from me, but this is the one I always go to. I've always gotten good service, and they handle special issues well. Both times I've been there when there was a problem customer (you know the ones, they can ruin your dinner in minutes), they handled it super well.
Even when they didn't have dine-in and they had cleaned up the outdoor seating for the night, they'd let us set up on a table outside to eat our takeout - and unless they were super busy, they'd give table service, even though it was only the cook and one other person handling all the online/phone/GrubHub etc orders. The night shift pair are A++.
I've never had an error in my order, even when I showed up to pick it up and they had dozens of orders on the go and only one chef working by himself without even someone up front.
When none of the Denny's had the spaghetti and meatballs on the menu at the height of the pandemic, as soon as I mentioned it the host he confirmed with the chef that yes, they could make it. And the one time they were out of meatballs, they offered steak or chicken instead! Saved my stressed self from a lack of my comfort food for months.
