I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to review this gem of a spot! I’ve been going here since the womb—literally! This place has beaten gentrification in the hood & it’s a blessing. Korean chicken is the complete best! It’s essential to place it in EVERY order lol Honey Walnut Prawns are bomb, beef w/ broccoli—BOMB. (Just to name a few)
This is no fine dine in the slightest or cookie cutter. This is a neighborhood staple for those that know what’s up. Hands down the only Chinese food I get in the city aside from Henry’s Hunan.

The walnut prawns were alright, but the boneless Korean fried chicken were really good! Make sure you order on their website to get 10% off, make some rice and greens to go with the chicken 👌 mama mia 👌

Highly disappointed. I was so excited to try the Peking duck with coworkers after grinding out some heavy duty work. I told them about it and they agreed to all drive out Heung Yuen. When I checked the hours of operation online I read 1100 o'clock open time. We got there at 1035...waited till 1055 when one of the employees opened up the door. We asked if we could possible put in our order a few minutes early. The employee then tells us they are opening at 12 noon. When we asked about their posted hours online with a 1100 open time the employee said covid and walked away. I couldn't believe the no care attitude. I work for a huge local employer and had my uniform on. They could have gained a few dozen customers over the weekend. I guess they do so well they don't care about getting new customers. I wouldn't even give them one star if I had the option.

To be fair, from the outside it looks like it's pretty dirty, old fashioned and a typical chinese restaurant. But.. Prices are reasonable and you get a lot for your bucks! With 2 dishes you can fill up 4 people at ease. And as a bonus it's super delicious and full of flavour!

Love this place have been coming here since I was in the womb! Favorite Chinese restaurant in SF hands down and everyone I bring here leaves loving it too. If you really grew up in the mission you know about this place.
