very tasty and fresh. only complaint, wish portion size was a little bigger. I will say this, Zamato app sucks! loved urban spoon
It's a small menu, but it's some amazing Asian street food. The poke bowl was a fantastic dish loaded with fresh sweetly marinated tuna topped with sesame and avocado on a bed of rice. Great tuna flavours with interesting textures. However, there's a choice of regular rice or black rice, a heartier type of rice. The black rice was a bit different for the textures and something I don't usually have, but went really well with the overall dish.
The Bao is also a good choice for a snack. A crustier bun loaded with some nice flavourful pork. It was good, but honestly overshadowed by how much I loved the poke bowl.
For a small counter, it was quick to grab a quick meal for the $10 range. Worried that we might have to sit on the streets of the Embarcadero or the wharf to eat, it turns out since Sammy's is connected to a restaurant we could sit on a few tables and stools in the back outside. It was actually quite nice to sit on the waterfront and enjoy this meal. This is definitely a spot off of the wharf that's kind of hidden, but a great gem once you discover it.
