I really want to support this restaurant because I love Hawaiian food. The musubis are good, but a little too much rice and too little topping. I ordered a garlic fish plate and was sad to see it swimming in butter. See photo for how much liquified butter was in the Mac salad and greens.

I ordered delivery and I could smell the food through the bag. I ordered three spam musubi, chicken katsu (mini), and onion rings. The onion rings were horrible. About $5 for bland, flavorless, and soggy onion disappointments. However, the spam musubi was delicious. Perfectly grilled spam slices on top of delicious, flavorful sauce and perfectly cooked rice. And the price was less than $9 for three. Mahalo's spam musubi is the real deal. Absolutely delicious. The chicken katsu (mini) was about $11. I didn't realize there was a mini and a regular size option until after I ordered. The regular size is about $14. The chicken is so tender and tastes like it's been marinated. It's covered in what looks to be panko breadcrumbs. The chicken was like french fries. Nice and crisp on the outside with a mealy, tender inside. Now, some of the chicken wasn't crispy but most of it was. It comes with some sauce that you can put on but the chicken without the sauce still tastes good. I got macaroni salad for my side and it was really good for macaroni salad but I didn't like it. Looking back, I should've gotten the salad instead. I'm not a fan of macaroni salad so I wouldn't have liked it either way but if you like macaroni salad, Mahalo is where you want to eat. All the food I had tasted just like they did in Hawaii. Overall, I'm giving four stars. It would've been five stars if the onion rings weren't horrible. I expected stuff to be at least a little soggy because it's delivery so it's kind of inevitable. If you're ordering delivery, get food that isn't crispy. If you're eating there, expect delicious food at very reasonable prices.

The quality of the food at this place is pretty good. You'll find a lot of staple dishes here and it's at a convenient location near the rail. I would say, however, that customer service here needs work. They are less than enthusiastic and are not quite welcoming.

Really disappointed. We threw out our food. Rice tasted molded, greens weren't fresh. Did not seem sanitary. Dude in the front didn't have a mask on and was coughing. Definitely not coming back here. We had a few bites and are legitimately worried about food poisoning.

We were delivery regulars of this place for a while because we liked the food. Went in to pick up the other day for the first time because I happened to be in the area. Like another review said, the guy at the front counter kept coughing the whole time I was in there without a mask on...coughing into his hand and then handling to go orders. I'm not a germaphobe but it was really gross and you can't unsee it. Gross enough not to order ever again.

The food was ok but customer service sucks. She didn't deliver us our orders, she made us get up to pick up our food and everything. We had to get up each time to grab our utensils, napkins, straws and drinks while she just stand by the counter. And she was bothered for everytime we ask for anything. She made us do most of the work before and after. She charged us .50 cents for our togo box and .50 cents for the sauce. After we ate she asked us to grab our plates and hand it to her so I asked her would you like us to wash it too and she said no this is not Mc Donald's this is a restaurant. I'm like wow.

Not good. I asked for a takeout delivery to be ready at a certain time. They must have cooked everything immediately because the fries steamed in the bag and were beyond soggy plus the macaroni salad was melted by the chicken. Boo. It’s a hard pass from here on out

The chicken katsu is crispy and juicy just like it should be and portions are generous. I go here when I have a craving despite Ono is close by (too dry there). The rice is good and the macaroni is decent. Service is quick and very friendly.
