Lotus Sf

I had the great pleasure of discovering Lotus SF Indian Cuisine on Mission Street in San Francisco. The decorations and interior well passed my expectations for fine dining and much nicer than any other Indian restaurant I have dined before. I had lunch there with my wife who previously was not an Indian food fan. I had my favorite, Chicken Tikka Masala (Chicken cooked in mild creamy curry sauce with a touch of ground cashew) with garlic naan and a Mango Lassi which came in a cold copper mug. My wife ordered the Chicken Coconut Curry (Chicken with coconut milk, ginger, garlic, organic spices and a touch of basil)and we share a bowl of brown rice. Our plates were garnished with just enough salad that had a vinaigrette dressing and was just enough to complement the meal. Both meals were delicious and my wife now loves Indian food. The mango lassi was refreshing and cleaned the palate well. The serving sizes were ample enough that we had left overs and able to finish our evening with round two Indian dinner. The service from the Host and the Servers were excellent - our glasses of water were filled throughout. We received our check with not only a very fair price but with a chocolate mint that was sweet and refreshing. If you are traveling or live near and around the Mission District in San Francisco I highly recommend you try it – and you won’t be disappointed - with Lotus SF Indian Cuisine. If I lived close I would be a regular clientele here and if we are in the area again we will definitely return.

Really delicious curries. The portion sizes appear small but since it's so rich we barely finished half. We each got one Curry and it was more than enough. Try the lamb!

I’m actually here right now lol I could not wait to share how good the food was. If your worried about spice, they can make the food super mild, so have no worries. Everything is fresh and flavorful. The customer service is fantastic. You can tell that they care so much about making you happy. Even when you read their menu, you can see that all they want to do is please. We decided to come here because we saw a couple eating and their food looked great. So happy we walked by that day.

Love the Indian food so much here, tasted like the same in Delhi, India. Service was very prompt and excellent. They recommend you the best, we asked them and it turned out to be the best Indian food in SF. The Indian traditional music, Indian paintings, Indian decoration, OMG!!!! I am so overwhelmed with all of it. Must try place.

Our fave sit down Indian spot in the city. Fantastic food. And the service is fantastic. The servers are all very deliberate, yet personable. It feels like a team creating a warm welcoming home. Kudos!
