Mr. Dustin, thank you and your amazing team. Michelin Starred and I see why. From the entrance to the take away. Went in on a late rainy Wednesday night, and got the best seat in the house, the centered chef’s counter. The dinning room, bar and kitchen counters were full. Recommend calling ahead for seat reservation. Wine: Napa local red blend, Two Squared: 10/10 Chef’s complimentary appetizer: wagyu coquettes 100/10 Chicory salad: 10/10 beautiful tones. Grapefruit- radishes, candied walnuts Wagyu Meatballs with yolk soy sauce: 10/10 comes with two. Exquisite pairing with the egg yolk soy sauce Honey butternut squash: 10/10 flavorful- rich and creamy side dish that complimented the meats. Aesthetically, pleasing and delicious. Ribeye: medium 10/10 -too red for me but exquisitely buttery, salted, crisp but tender, juicy. Wagyu flank: 9/10 - definitely get it medium. Very flavorful but not buttery like the ribeye I love desserts but was so satisfied- I passed on dessert. Brownie Wagyu caramel next time! Will most definitely come back, and I would not ask for any other seat ;)!

Just WOW. First of all, the BEST service I’ve had in San Francisco (probably top 5 in the globe). Every employee, from the host, server, sommelier, food runners… EVERYONE was over the top kind, helpful and thoughtful. Then the food… it was spectacular. Start with the bone marrow - YUM! Beautiful presentation and dynamic flavor profile. The filet and NY strip were so flavorful and cooked perfectly. Add the crispy potatoes and mushrooms as sides. We picked a bottle of wine from the sommelier’s selection - a Napa Pinot Noir - just perfect. Beautiful space too. Loved seeing the chefs cook on the grill from our table. I just can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. MANY other establishments in the area could take note from Niku. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

What an experience. The dinner here was one of my favorites of 2023. Amazing service, lots of choices on the menu. The starters were good, the meat was amazing, the drinks tasty, and a good dessert to finish the night. Sitting at the counter was great for a date night, watching the chefs cook and prepare the meals. Highly recommend if you have money to spend and are looking for a great steak dinner.

I live in nyc and have been to most of our popular spots. I think Niku might be better than all of them. Probably the best strip I’ve had in a steakhouse. We also split three apps, all were incredible with the stars being the tortellini and beef tartare. Service was also warm and very attentive. A+, 17/10, can’t wait to visit again.

Niku Steakhouse just earned its first Michelin star in 2023. Niku Steakhouse's interiors boast upscale and sophisticated decor with plush furnishings and tasteful, soft, and ambient lighting for a relaxed and intimate mood for a cozy dinner atmosphere. Their music selection ranged from the 80s remixes to current pop songs, and it was very upbeat. They have a bar right when you walk in. They also have a chef's counter dining area where you can sit and enjoy your meal while you watch the chef prepare the steak. They have a small cocktail menu but an extensive wine selection. Their service was impeccable. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable, and skilled in describing menu and wine pairings and also different cuts of steak, their origins, and grade. He depth of knowledge about the menu really helped us make our decision for the night. He was very friendly too. For drinks, I got their No. 9 cocktail, which was very refreshing and on the sweeter side. My friend got a mocktail, and that was also pretty good. Your dinner starts off with a miniature version of avocado toast, which was really good. It just melted in our mouths. The buttery and salty flavors were on point. I asked for a second serving of that, and our server was kind enough to get us another serving of that. We got pig ears and bone marrow for our appetizers. I've never had pig ears, so I wasn't looking forward to it. Pig ears were crispy and sweet. I couldn't really tell I was eating pig ears. It was pretty good. Bone marrow was pretty good, too. It was very rich, buttery, and tangy with smooth texture and smoky richness. We tried their westholme short rib with black garlic jus, and it was amazing. The meat was cooked well, and it was very tender, succulent, and flavorful because of slow braising. We also got crispy potatoes on the side. Potatoe came in the shape of a cube with thin slices of potatoes stacked on top of each other, resembling a crepe. The short rib is definitely not enough for 2 people, so we are glad we ordered appetizers and sides. We finished our dinner with a dessert. We got their olive oil cake, and we weren't a huge fan of it. There was just too much going on. The caramel sauce was very sweet. The sorbet was silky and smooth, but the sorbet on top had mild flavors, and sorbet at the bottom was a bit salty (which actually helped balance the sweetness of the caramel). Restaurant provided a small comolimentary dessert at the end, which was honestly much better than the main dessert. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

Incredible experience end to end. From the view of the grills and their meticulous chefs to the consistent, kind, and knowledgeable service from the entire staff. And somehow the food was still the highlight. The A5 Wagyu is life-changing. Get the shishito peppers with your steak if available. Cocktails and tea were delicious too. Great for a date or special occasion that warrants the highest quality of everything.

We made reservations here two months before our trip, for my husbands 60th birthday celebration. We sat at the ‘chefs table’, right up front overlooking the kitchen. We spoke to the chef and his chef de partie, during our dinner. It was amazing! An experience we will never forget. We ordered the tomahawk steak. It was very good, but we thought a little chewy. The bone marrow appetizer was outstanding! Service was outstanding. Overall, an amazing experience and we highly recommend this restaurant and would go back again.
