Unpretentious, good price, great service. For the price in this area this is a good deal. We had an hour before the museum of ice cream opened and we wanted a clean comfy place for a sandwich and pastry. We were happy with our sandwiches and danishes.

I had the English morning breakfast two days in a row. I asked for poached eggs and it was terrific. Service is polite and coffee is fine. Cheaper than my hotel across the street and the breakfast is better!

Great food, but a little pricey. $15 for a standard two egg breakfast with toast and potatoes. But a cute little place with nice employees. Would go back.
Entertaining Food
Mediocre, Moderately-Cheap Eats. This restaurant is directly across the street from Hotel Nikko, my favorite hotel in San Francisco. It's about half the cost of the hotel breakfast, but about half the quality; far less than half as well decorated (expect dusty sunflowers and kitsch everywhere).<br/><br/>If you expect your eggs to be overcooked and the waitress to forget you ordered coffee, you won't be disappointed. Half the breakfast items are from boxes and the eggs and potatoes are missing even basic salt and pepper seasoning.<br/><br/>The restaurant is convenient, but there are far better options a block away in nearly any direction. That's what we get for eating at a "72%" cafe.
