Awesome place. I have had a lot of clams linguine that was flat and bland - not this one! This was lively and delicious, and they kept giving me bread to soak up the awesome leftover sauce! And I cannot say enough good things about my wonderful server, who was very friendly and kept the carbs coming (thank you!!). Great place to eat, I recommend it 100%. This is the real deal

Service was impeccable; food was even better. This place is a gem. Caesar dressing on the salad was perfect (and I’m a Caesar snob), manicotti dinner and meatballs app that was butter knife tender was a perfect combo, special today was lamb shank and was FALL OFF THE BONE delicious. Did I mention that I will never be able to eat tiramisu again because it will never live up to this place? 100% recommend.

We visited for the annual Italian Heritage parade and had a table in their curbside outdoor dining area which gave us a great close up view of the parade. The lunch was delicious and the service was professional. Our waiter had a thorough knowledge of the wine list. I enjoyed the Caesar salad, meatballs, and the lasagna. We will return.

Beef ravioli was good but I felt like I was done in 5 minutes and still hungry when finished. Hubs had the Pizza and it was tasty Small restaurant especially when seated in back corner with no room to move.

I had the pleasure of dining at Luisa’s delightful Italian Restaurant, lovingly run by a charming little old lady with a heartwarming smile. From the moment I walked in, her warm welcome made me feel like I was stepping into her own kitchen.
The standout of the evening was, without a doubt, her exquisite lasagna. It was a masterpiece of Italian cuisine, with each bite bursting with layers of flavor. The vodka sauce was a perfect blend of savory and sweet, and the cheese was gloriously gooey. It was like a slice of heaven on a plate.
But what truly made this dining experience special was the personal touch that the owner brought to every aspect. It felt like more than just a meal; it was an intimate journey into the heart of Italian culture.
If you're in search of not only delectable Italian cuisine but also a dining experience infused with genuine warmth and charm, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. It's a testament to the magic that a beautiful little old lady can create with her passion and culinary skills.

Luisa's exceeded expectations with delicious and affordable food. While the wine selection by the glass was a bit limited, the options available were all excellent. Overall, a great dining experience.

Fun local Italian vibe, the house wine (that you can only get there) is great. Good Italian food

Luisa's is exceptional on multiple fronts. It's that rare dining experience you hope to have, but so seldom get.
An old-world charm permeates its cozy atmosphere, peppered with wine bottles, autographed photos of celebrities from a bygone era of Hollywood, and swinging tunes from the 40s, 50s and 60s. (Even a little 70's!)
The food is delicious. I had the gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce, and it was as creamy, decadent, and delicious as one could hope for. My brother got the halibut puttanesca (special of the day), and it was excellent, even better than my gnocchi, if that's possible. The spinach salad was refreshing and simple. This restaurant has been in business a long time, and it shows. Their presentation, taste, and content are excellent. I've had Italian as good as this maybe one other time, and it was a hell of a lot more expensive.
Bonus points to Luisa's for reasonable prices when you consider they're located in San Francisco. Most dishes will run you between 20.00-22.00, and leave you feeling pleasantly full.
The service was wonderful, attentive without being intrusive. You can dine indoors or outdoors under a covered space. The music isn't played too loudly, and you find yourself humming along to it while you enjoy your amazing food.
Can't say enough good things about this place. If you find yourself in SF craving Italian, this place should be a priority.

Perfectly cooked pasta dishes with decent texture from starch release and a good amount of cheese. Served in perfect temperature. Reasonably priced. In particular, carbonara is flavorful. Pollo Alfredo also rich and creamy. Pizza is good but there’s no surprise. Patio seatings are decent. They turned on the warmer. Cooking wait time is reasonable.
