Goood Frikin' Chicken

I have gotten great food here many times, as we live in the area. Many restaurants are variable, some days they're just a bit off. That's never happened here, it's always been great. And they have dishes no one else has. I think they're Jordanian specialties, not just the usual general Middle Eastern mix. I love this place.

I remember the first time I went to this place years and years ago. I was very skeptical by then of any Middle Eastern food place due to growing up with a mom that cooked delicious Middle Eastern food (no one got flavors in dishes the way she did), and for the lackluster experiences I’ve had at other Middle Eastern restaurants in the Bay Area that someone I knew would praise and I would leave those places questioning my friends judgments. This place totally made me swallow my words , well I would have swallowed an words of criticism if my mouth wasn’t too busy enjoying the flavors they got right in their dishes. I could go on here , but I think I’ve made my point.

The food is superb, the service not so much. Wait time for food is too long. We had ordered shawarma and a veg platter. Took atleast 25 minutes to arrive and that too not as warm as you expect your food to be. The prices are high for that kind of service. They gave someone else's order to our table two times before getting the right order. However, the food was great, hence giving them a 4. They have a lot of tables and never too busy so you can find space for a lazy dinner.

Love this restaurant! The food is delicious and the murals on the walls and ceiling put you in another land. I have tasted almost everything on the menu. I often order the open flame chicken. It is always perfect. The pudding, well, I buy 2 one to eat there and one to take home. It is a place I take people visiting SF as well as locals.
