Overall 5/5: Food 5; Went for breakfast and it was as expected for a casual breakfast. Pancakes were fluffy, sausages where crisp outside and juicy inside. We appreciated how the cook was able to make adjustments without hesitation or additional charges. Service 5; Very attentive, coffee was constantly refilled. Atmosphere 5; Nostalgic
It's great! You'll find seniors, families, and everyone in general LIKES this restaurant!
It's the only family restaurant in the neighborhood!
Service is great! The staff is very likeable and very personable! The owner is a great human being, who truly cares about his customers!
You can sit at the counter and watch your food being prepared!
Very clean! It's a fun place to go!
My 92-year-old Mom loves it! Me, too!
You can call ahead and place your order!
They are open 7:30AM to 2:30PM, Monday through Friday! Saturday and Sunday their hours are 7:30AM to 9:00PM!
They offer a mouth-watering salmon fillet or delicious steak fillet for dinner, along with a freshly cooked vegetable, mashed potatoes with gravy, and a huge delectable salad!
Dessert offerings are your choice of cheesecake with fresh fruit on top or a nice slice of pumpkin pie with or without whipped cream! Yum!
Cheers!
Hash browns was really good. I had a Joe's special. I was also curious about Irish bacon which I like certainly more than Canadian bacon but not as much as American bacon but it tasted good specially well done.
When I go to SF I stay near Clement St and my friend brings me to HH for the best breakfast in the City! But they have great sandwiches and a whole menu of good stuff. Don't miss Joe's Special!
I went to Hamburger Haven with a couple friends and was pleasantly surprised by how cute it was inside. This diner is one of those restaurants that makes you feel like you have gone back in time. I do not really go to diners much but there is something real comforting about going to a wholesome diner.
When we sat ourselves down at a table, my friend and her boyfriend ordered a Irish breakfast and Denver omelette while I ordered a California omelette with avocado, bacon, tomatoes, and jack cheese in it. I found it hilarious that my friend's boyfriend literally devoured his omelette. Yet, if you can base off how good a place is off of that, it is a pretty good sign, right?
Sometimes I think the less said, the better. The omelette and hash browns, while simple, could not have been anymore solid and filling.
This is the perfect diner breakfast spot. Nice staff, decent coffee and good food. They have a decent breakfast deal with $9.99 two pancakes, two sausage links (or bacon) and two eggs cooked your way.
First time back since renovation. Everyone there was very nice. Place looks just like before , and the food is good. The onion rings are the best! Just like how I remembered.
As kid growing up in SF my Dad would bring me here for brunch. The food back then was top notch & it's hasn't changed except for the prices but the Quality is worth the price!!!
Ordered a mushroom cheese burger for lunch, it came with fries. The burger bun was so delicious. Portion-wise, it was pretty sufficient to feed an adult male. Cost-wise, it was average, not cheap but not particularly expensive. Staff were very friendly and there were quite a bit of varieties in the menu.
Been a neighborhood staple now for years, glad to see them open again. It used to be pretty cheap, but with the past few years everything has gone up in price. Still, a good place for a bite to eat.
