We went out on a Wednesday night for a casual dinner. We decided on the West Portal area since we live close by. And since we haven't had indian food in a while, we decided to try this place instead of Little Original Joe's next door. Interiors are a little outdated and only 2 other tables were occupied when we got there. We decided on the set menu for 2 which was about $45 and I got a mango lassi as well. The set menu had chicken tikka, saag paneer, samosas, grilled meat, rice, naan, and a dessert. Naan was too oily for me, and the chicken tikka a little too salty, but overall good value for money. We left full with food to take home.
Delicious and generous portions! Chicken tikka masala and saag paneer were more than enough to feed two for dinner. Kingfish beer on tap for $4.95!
This is my first review but Food was delicious. Was my wife's first experience with Indian food. I would recommend the dinner for 2, great deal at around $45 but so much food!
(I actually visited August 22nd, but had forgotten to submit review until today... oops)
Wow, this place is amazing. I have no idea why there would be any negative reviews for this restaurant, this place is GREAT.
Me and my friend came here without any reservation, and were the only ones here around 6pm, and the food and service was literally Top Notch… even got free dessert and a complimentary glass of wine. Our server Jash Anpreet was AMAZING, and went above and beyond. Highly recommend. 5 stars forsure ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟
Chicken Tiki Masala is sooo yummy! The chicken is super moist. The sauce is perfect. Love the garlic and plain Nann bread! Great service . The owner is lovely and attentive! Chicken Korma is my fav too!
Very tasty, great service! Love it!
My dad and I love this place! Samosas and lamb chops are must haves. The server we usually have is great as well!
Nice neighborhood restaurant that opens late. Food was delicious and their set dinner for two was perfect when indecisive with what to order.
I’ve tried dozens of Indian / Pakistani restaurants in the Bay Area over the years, and this is now my go to spot for Indian food. Their tikka masala is the best I’ve ever had. Unlike some other Indian restaurants, Clay Oven is not too oily or salty. The meats are moist and cooked perfectly. And the vegetarian dishes are also delicious. My favorites are saag paneer and baingan bartha. It’s also a fantastic value for the amount of food you get.
The lamb masala was amazing and the moon garlic is my favorite. The chai tea
Is very nice.
