I have been frequenting this place for almost 20 years. The chef is consistent and kind. The wait staff has always been polite and efficient. The menu has changed quite a bit over the years, but was told by staff that you can order whatever you want, and as long as they have the ingredients, they will make it. I have always loved their chicken Piccata. It is a huge portion with two large pieces of chicken, perfectly cooked veggies, and your choice of pasta, or potato, served with a generous and ingredient packed salad. The prices are extremely fair, especially considering the hip location. Their breakfasts are also fantastic. They have done some remodeling, but kept it simple. They have an updated and clean more spacious bathroom. I definitely recommend supporting this old school long standing small business.

The staff is great but the chef does not prioritize food correctly. He put DoorDash and to go orders ahead of customers that were in person and prioritized people they knew. People were waiting 40 minutes for food because the cooks were ignoring the people in the restaurant. They got food out to a regularly that showed up after seven other people who were waiting.
People that came after were given free food to hold them over but those who’d been waiting were given nothing.

Good food at a good price. I had the fried catfish sandwich, which was very tasty. Friendly, attentive service. We eat here 2 to 3 times a month, and it’s always good!

Agree with the reviews so far. Good food, great prices, and great service. We had the Valencia wings, 14” Valencia Pizza and 14” Meatball Pizza among 4 people and walked away with just 4 slices left over. That amount of food, 6 beers and tip all under $100.

Yummy Italian pizza place in the Mission District. PESTO with mushrooms pizza was the best. Good price and friendly staff.

Friendly folks who offered to bake another pizza for us because the previous one was a bit overcooked. Our Pesto veggie pizza tasted good too and the ingredients were fresh. Always a great feeling to have late night pizza that doesn't taste stale.

A great casual spot if you're looking for tasty pizza. There's no A/C, but the restaurant makes up for it with an attentive staff and a family-friendly atmosphere.

On my first visit my mom and I ordered two pieces of pepperoni pizza and they were made very quickly and very poorly when I came in a second time there were more people there staff was and they apologized for the service and they explained that they were new people meaning new staff and they complimented me with a new mini pizzas to see what their service was really like. And their service is great the sauce is awesome and the crust is really crispy to the bite. I'm so glad that they wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with their services. I'm stoked that they wanted to make sure that I walked out the door happy. And I did.

Sometimes you just want a huge plate of pasta with a basket of garlic bread and cheap beer/wine at an affordable price at a divey spot. Valencia Pizza & Pasta always satisfies that craving. Just make sure to get yourself a drink as the service isn't the fastest.

Love this place!! Love the choices on their menu also seen on the chalk board. Huge portions. The owners are sweet and love cooking for their customers. They always have beautiful waitresses who are students from one of the ‘Stan’ countries. It is reasonably if not a real deal pricing. Unpretentious and feels like community eating together rather than loud music, people shouting to talk with each other, and a certain stifling atmosphere. Not here. Really like being at your mom and pop delicious food served on large plates totally filled.... if you know what I mean!

We were a large group of 55 people including 45 of whom were between the ages of 12-18 on a tour of California from Georgia. Our scheduled dinner stop in China Town was canceled because the business was closed for good. We had no idea what to do. Our guide called up Valencia's Pizza and they accepted us no problem. Very quickly, loads of salad, breadsticks, chicken Alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, and pizza came out hot, fresh, and delicious. They could have easily turned us down due to our size and such short notice, but the staff was AMAZING and attentive. I don't by any means recommend going to any restaurant last minute with a large crowd, but I do appreciate the level of service we received today- 6/13/22. We thank you so much!!!
