Weekend brunch is the superstar of this place! The pancakes are beyond delicious. Distinctive fusion flavoured, and as healthy as you can get for a taste of decadence. This was by far one of the best brunch places in San Francisco. It’s located in Haye Valley! This was a complete bonus find of an area!!! Everything was just ‘right’ about this place. The servers were genuinely happy and you can tell with their description of the food! The vibe is ultra cool without being overbearing pretentious.

They do a different menu everyday. Kind of healthy. Tastes great. Fresh orange juice. Quick service. Definitely a go again place.

Different menu everyday which is always refreshing. Cute space where you can see the open kitchen.

Service is super friendly. They are very professional and take great care in preparing and serving the food which is most important to me. The meals aren't cheap but it's clear that they are using great quality products and put a lot of love and care into the food. The atmosphere is great they keep the dining area clean and tidy and it never seems too busy since mostly people grab and go. It's definitely not cheap but it's one of the better lunch spots in Soma if you want something healthy and trends homemade. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. This is a local business that deserves your support.

Our almost go-to spot for a quick breakfast during the week. We like their granolas and breakfast sandwich.

Fantastic little place for lunch in this neighborhood. Fresh delicious food is plated as you watch, and the friendly staff are as open to minor modifications as they can be. I had some delicious melt-in-your mouth braised pork belly, served on a generously balanced portion of vegetables. I believe the menu changes often -- daily? -- and that there's always a vegetarian option.

Nice place for breakfast and the corned beef hash was certainly delicious without being too heavy. The place offers different types of tables and some window seating. The coffee was nice enough, although not great. Just a simple and unassuming americano, or "a damn cup" as the menu puts it. The place was quite empty in the morning, quite spacious and quiet, which added up to a nice relaxed atmosphere. It would be a perfect place to start the morning with a cup of coffee while getting ready for the office but the lack wifi and slightly unwelcoming staff made me more inclined to just eat and leave.

LOVE it - delicious, clean food that changes regularly for a fun twist, and wonderful helpful staff. We frequent Picnic throughout the week, but also use them regularly for office catering events and Natalia and the team are always incredibly helpful. We've also rented the restaurant space for private events and it's always a smashing success with great ambiance.

Picnic on Third catered lunch one day a week at my previous job, and man do I miss it! I'd always get super excited when Wednesdays rolled around after two days of takeout from the endless supply of mediocre, overpriced restaurants you find all over downtown. It was exactly what I needed in the middle of a workday. Hearty, but not to the point that I'd spend the rest of the afternoon in a food coma. Enough veggies to (almost) make up for that pizza I'd end up eating for dinner. Picnic delivered not just quality, but variety. Lunch was never boring, and main dishes were rarely repeated. Picnic always managed to maintain freshness and temperature in transit, which anyone who's experienced much workplace catering will appreciate. Lots of catering services (I'm looking at you, Eat Club) will bring you a meal that was probably good at one point, but that's a distant memory by the time it shows up lukewarm at the office. Not Picnic. Mains were always warm, fresh veggies always crisp, and rice and bread always soft. Sadly, the restaurant is a hike from my current office, so I don't get my weekly Picnic fix anymore, but I still make my way over whenever I get the chance.

Hipster lunch spot featuring a rotating menu that is hit or miss depending on your tastes. The food is certainly better than a cafeteria's, but not presented especially well. You get the feeling that they're trying a little too hard with the decorations and place settings, but overall a great place to grab a quick bite to eat!
