We love this sushi spot. It’s tiny (about 20 seats) and fabulous. The service is fantastic, even if it’s busy. Always accommodating. The prices are competitive with other sushi restaurants. They always have a great selection of specials. They make us feel like family. It’s our number one sushi spot in the city.

Cool sushi spot. Good food. I pass by the location often, but never realized Sushi time was inside.

Super good quality sushi. Reasonable prices. They use real crab in their mix, and their crab tastes really good. The Barbie roll is great. Love that they have different fishes besides the usual staples.

Everywhere we live, we always find a go to sushi place that is similar to the style of Sushi Time, but of all the places we’ve found where we’ve lived in the US, Sushi Time is probably our favorite so far. We live nearby and it is our go-to sushi place and we try to come weekly when our schedules allow. The food is outstanding, but even better is the friendliness and warmth of the guys who run the place and take excellent care while we’re there. We are so grateful to them for sharing with us.

My new go to! Very small and cozy, friendly staff, reasonable prices, delicious simple sushi. Will definitely be coming back. My favorite was the butter fish roll (spicy waru). Most rolls are under $10!

Little gem hidden behind a building next to a pretty dope boardgames store in Castro! Food was great! Ordered a Genmaicha (tea) and Chirashi Don. Genmaicha was very good and authentic, gets unlimited refills for hot water when ordered. Chirashi Don's ingredients were very fresh and definitely has zero problems being raw! Overall a great experience and would introduce friends to go again. The only downside is the space is very very small, not great for bigger groups of people (6+).

What a gem! The nigiri here is on par with high end omakase but a fraction of the cost. Superbly fresh fish, perfectly firm sushi rice with a nice amount of vinegar to cut through the richness, a robust kick of wasabi to make sure your nostrils are working, judicious use of negi (scallions) to pair with the fish. The salmon belly and albacore belly are lightly seared to heighten the fatty goodness, but the ocean trout was my fave. The quirky location (subterranean biz center) and decor makes it more charming and authentic with a Jiro Dreams of Sushi vibe. 10 nigiri (every nigiri on the menu + albacore belly special), small carafe of sake, garden roll (tasty too) was just $100 not including tip. Comparable quality to an $100+ omakase imo.

No reservations. Waited 25 minutes at 8pm on a Saturday for a group of 3. Fresh fish, nicely prepared rice, and crisp seaweed. They ran out of a few key fish (including unagi), which put a damper on some of the nigiri and rolls we wanted to order. Also, very little cooked food here. So order some miso or edamame to get your warm fix while eating.
