Review Sift Dessert Bar - San Francisco

That was amazingly good. We got an assortment of cupcakes and macarons, they were all so good and so tasty. My favorite was the pink champagne and the apple caramel ones, totally hit the spot. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a perfect dessert.

The desserts they offer from cakes, cupcakes, to macaroons are hands down the best I've ever tasted. They are a beautiful balance of sweetness to flavor ratio. They make each flavor special with a different texture from frosting, added dollop of flavor on top of the frosting, to the added pudding or chocolate in the middle, and the cupcake itself. Really making each cupcake a really unique experience and surprise. The lemon drop cupcake and Earl grey tea macaroons are my favorite, with the strongest flavors for me. Everyone should definitely stop by and try their cute little spinning wheel to help you choose what to get cause you honestly can't go wrong choosing anything in this shop. Highly recommend and definitely will be going back.☺️

Very cute little sweet shop. Loved the macarons, very soft and chewy. Decently priced as well.

Delicious desserts made by a local San Francisco business. This dessert bar is kind of a grab and go dessert eatery that offers cupcakes, macarons, and other small little treats like cookies. A box of 6 macarons is about 18 dollars, so it can be a tad pricy but the flavor and quality is worth it. This is a San Francisco business so you do pay for the locale. If you’re looking for a treat for a friend or loved one, this is a good choice. We came here for some dessert after lunch and we left very happy. No seating here. Parking is street parking but there’s ample spots around and not too busy. Plenty of grocery stores and food nearby as well.

I'm not a cupcake person, but I was obsessed with the Key Lime Bliss cupcake from here!! Since I am a big pie fan, I was naturally drawn to this flavor. I love a good key lime pie! Once I started taking the paper off my cupcake, I practically GASPED. The cupcake had a layer of pie crust on the bottom! It was the delicious graham cracker crust texture that I love. What a great twist to a cupcake! The cupcake itself had a nice fluffy texture, not too cakey, and had a pleasant vanilla aroma. The frosting was PERFECT! Airy, whipped, & creamy... and had a light citrus flavor to it. The cupcake was also filled with a tangy key lime curd and topped with a little lime gummy. Super cute and delicious! Lots of flavor.

I didn’t actually buy anything, however the lady was so nice to warn me that a cupcake contained cashews. She did not even know I indeed had an allergy! I just love to see a place going out of there way to acknowledge allergies. So that alone deserves 5 stars.

Gluten free cupcakes! I only had the gluten-free ones. Had to call to see what other ingredients apparently they are milk and egg free so are they vegan too? They did not taste gluten- free so I hope I got the right ones otherwise I’ll be very sick. Very light and fluffy with lots of flavor. They will come smooshed so if you want a perfect cupcake , then getting it to go is not the way. Not anyone’s fault my delivery person was very careful. Two cupcakes were $11 Plus taxes and fees and delivery which are like $25 but they were definitely very worth it assuming they are actually gluten-free.

The strawberry shortcake ($63, other flavors $45) was DELICIOUS. I brought it to a bday party and everyone was asking where I got it, the flavor was very unique in the best way possible. The frosting even had glitter in it! It was so cute. They got it ready very fast, I think I ordered it Thursday and was ready noon Monday.

Their slab cakes are phenomenal!! We got the milk chocolate one and the vegan Oreo: both are super flavorful and moist. Would definitely recommend. And sorry for the photo, should’ve taken one before cutting them…

If you’re reading this review, stop right now and just go into Sift and buy a Whoopie cookie. JUST DO IT. Seriously, this review will be here while you’re eating, and then you can come back and say I was helpful. 😅 If you still need convincing: My husband and I came to Sift on a whim several months ago, and HOLY COW was it the right choice. We came in for the macarons, always a perennial favorite for me, but the star of the show for us ended up being the snickerdoodle whoopie cookie. Can I just tell you, we got these for our ride home to San Jose, and before we even left the city I was contemplating turning around for another one. The cookies are so soft and delicious, and have that snickerdoodle tang that must come from using the crème of tarter (the mark of a real snickerdoodle, btw) and the icing is laid in thick. Now, it is a bit rich, I admit. We highly suggest splitting one if you’re sensitive to sweet, but the cinnamon adds a perfect balance to the sweetness. If you’re not sensitive to sweet, I recommend going hard for the sugar cookie version. Snickerdoodles not your jam? Here enters the Oreo whoopie cookie. An instant classic, that makes an actual Oreo look like a sad redhead stepchild. (I can say that, I have red hair) This cookie has a different texture, almost like it has Oreo crumbs baked right into it -a sort of crumbly crispness that I still can’t figure out. The icing for this is a bit softer, and more of a creamy flavor -brining it’s namesake to mind for sure. You’ll literally never want a real Oreo again, I promise. It’s a big claim, but you’ll see… Now, Sift has so many other desserts to try, but if you get only one thing: WHOOPIE COOKIE! And if you have a family of sweet fiends, like my husband and I, I highly recommend a boxed assortment so you can all vote on your favorite -this will save time on your next visit! Also: Yes, I drove from San Jose to San Francisco to buy a box of these. Yes, I will do it again. No, you can’t have one of mine. ❤️🖤💜

Cute little bakery located in the heart of the Fillmore shopping district. Macaroons are delicious... Just about on par with Laduree. This place is known for their cupcakes, which are not as sweet as some other dessert places. Service was friendly but the lack of parking can be an issue if you're in a rush.

Beyond amazing. My wife talked me into treats before lunch and I fell in love with this place. I have to say for such a small place, they have big ideas and huge flavor blasting treats! I couldn't be more happy to eat a treat like this before lunch, and I'm not even a sweats guy! The mixer of frosting and cake mics has to be one of the greatest creations of desserts in our time; In my opinion. Just tell them I sent You! 😁

Cute place, smart packaging & great(!) tasting cupcakes with balanced sweetness. Way better than others I’ve tried in the area. Also, they offer cute candles and stuff if you’re celebrating someone

I was absolutely thrilled with the service I received from Liz! I live is STL and my partner lives in SF. I wanted to send a birthday cake for him at the restaurant he was celebrating with a few friends. It was so difficult to make the arrangements to make this little something special happen for him. I tried with several other bakeries that were not able or willing to assist me. Liz did not hesitate to make it happen! It was totally unexpected to have her help me the way she did! He loved his birthday cake!!!!

We got a dozen of cupcakes for house warming, about 5 different flavors - They are all good so moist

They have super delicious cupcakes, and 'cruffins' (which are basically cake pops, but not on a stick). My favorite is the pink champagne, which is raspberry flavored, and one of their cupcake wars winning cupcakes! (I still haven't gotten to try the other two though!).
